Tonight was our first night back dancing for 2026 💃🕺 and wow… what a way to start the year!
Energy levels were high and excitement peaked as we kicked off our brand-new routines for this year’s musical. We are absolutely thrilled to be back doing what we do best — and even more excited to welcome several new students and buddies into our ECD family 💙
Affectionately known as the happiest place on earth, it’s no surprise the room was filled with laughter, love, and pure joy. As these photos show, there were big smiles all around as we reunited and leapt straight into 2026 ✨
Stay tuned for plenty more updates this year, starting with our first TV appearance in March 📺

This year’s theme — “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress” — reminds us that building a just, equitable, and inclusive world depends on ensuring everyone has a voice, a place, and an opportunity to thrive.
At ECD, we see every day how powerful an inclusive, supportive environment can be. When we recognise each person’s strengths and talents, we create spaces where everyone belongs — and where everyone can shine.
Today, we honour the resilience, achievements, and contributions of individuals with disabilities. We also acknowledge the challenges they continue to face and reaffirm our commitment to expanding opportunities, breaking barriers, and showcasing all that is possible when inclusion leads the way.

✨ A Magical Day at Our Annual ECD Christmas Party! ✨
Today we gathered in the beautiful Mt Annan Botanic Gardens for our annual ECD Xmas celebration — and what a truly magical day it was. Surrounded by our students, families and friends, we celebrated everything we’ve achieved together this year.
It’s been another incredible year where our students have exceeded all expectations and reached new heights. ECD is so much more than a dance charity — it’s a safe, supportive and inclusive community where no student is ever left behind. The joy, laughter and connection we felt today spoke volumes about the strong relationships we share with our families.
And of course, the excitement soared when a very special visitor and his lovely wife arrived with gifts for everyone! 🎅🤶 The smiles were unforgettable.
Thank you to all our ECD families for your support, love and trust throughout the year. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Huge thank you to Karen Powell for the awesome photos too.
