We don’t know who put our names forward, but knowing that members of our community took the time to recognise the contribution of our cadets and staff makes these achievements even more special.

🎖️ A SPECIAL RECOGNITION FOR OUR OFFICER COMMANDING

We are also immensely proud to recognise our Officer Commanding, CAPT (AAC) Nathan Gunst, who was named Runner-Up for Educator/Mentor of the Year at the Caloundra Community Awards.

This individual recognition reflects his dedication to mentoring and developing our cadets, supporting our staff, and creating opportunities that encourage young people to challenge themselves, grow in confidence and develop as leaders.

To have our Officer Commanding recognised alongside educators and mentors from across the Caloundra community is an outstanding achievement, and one that everyone at 106 ACU is extremely proud to celebrate.

These awards and recognitions represent far more than the results themselves. They recognise the commitment of our cadets, the countless hours contributed by our volunteer staff, the support of our cadet families, and the positive role our unit continues to play within the local community.

To everyone who has supported 106 ACU, provided opportunities for our cadets, volunteered alongside us or simply cheered us on — thank you.

And to the members of our community who nominated 106 ACU and CAPT (AAC) Gunst, thank you for recognising the work being done within our unit. It means more to us than you may realise.

We are incredibly proud of how far our unit has come, and even more excited about what lies ahead.

Congratulations to our cadets, our staff and CAPT (AAC) Gunst — what an incredible achievement for the 106 ACU family! 🏆
