Thanks Take Action for Pumicestone Passage - TAPP Inc for organising a great and informative night with movie screening and panel and group discussion last week!

The event was Take Action for Plastic Pollution and the community screening of 'The Plastic Country' which CRA exec member Marcus attended together with other TAPP, CRA and other community members and Councillor Joe Natoli who attended, highlighting his passion for this topic.

It was wonderful to see our community come together to learn, listen, ask questions and have a genuine conversation about plastic pollution and the health of our Sunshine Coast waterways and ocean.

🌊 Have Your Say on the Diamond Head Foreshore Draft Design

Council has released the Phase 2 draft concept design for the Diamond Head foreshore upgrades at Keith Hill Park — and this is our chance as a community to make sure the design truly reflects what locals value.

These works include a new seawall, stormwater upgrades, sand renourishment, and improved beach access, all in response to the impacts of the Bribie Island breakthrough and recent severe weather.

The draft design is now open for community feedback, and we strongly encourage all residents to take a look and share your thoughts. Your input helps shape the final outcome for this important stretch of our coastline.

👉 See the summary of community feedback from Phase 1
👉 Review the draft design and provide feedback
👉 Consultation closes 3 July 2026

Caloundra Residents Association is also looking to prepare a response.
If you like your views considered for inclusion in the CRA response, please email your comments by 1st July to:
[email protected]

Let’s make sure the community voice informs the final design.

Based on what our community told us, we’ve drafted a concept design for Keith Hill Park – now we’d like your feedback before it’s finalised.

Bribie Breakthrough - history, today and what next.
The final of the 5 part series – important for everyone to get a good recap of where we have been. Thanks to PPCMB for the great work. And to the amazing Ken Mewburn who has been at the forefront of research and advocacy for well over a decade on this issue.
📣 the next stage for the community is public consultation on the long term solution/s.
Stay tuned! Dont miss out on being informed, and having your say!

Part 4 of 5 part series summarising the journey pre and post the Bribie Breakthrough – a great on the ground visual for all to see of the completed temporary works. Certainly complements the great aerial shots that Bluey has provided us all. Check out the comments and the responses throughout the series. They cover very nicely the many of the common questions and concerns people have had.
