Caloundra Community Centre Community/Neighbourhood Centres are hubs for community development, interest groups, support groups & community services.

Caloundra Community Centre delivers a range of services including family support, parenting courses, playgroups, volunteer home visiting, emergency relief, Pets for Life, Community Support and Development, Information and Referral out. There are a number of visiting services that provide outreach services at the centre including: domestic violence support, community legal service, mental health co

unselling, individual and family counselling, sexual assault support counselling, early intervention housing support, community aged care packages and support. There are a range of interest groups and support groups that meet at the centre including art, music, women's interest, arts and crafts, English conversation, literacy, playgroups. There are a number of volunteer opportunities for people interested in family support, Pets For Life, literacy, Reception, Information and Referral. Community Centres are member-driven organisations so please become a member for $5 a year. Come and talk to us with any ideas you have. We welcome new community members and encourage them to participate.

A few of our staff had the opportunity to attend The Dreaming Collective Reconciliation Week Breakfast last week.

This year’s theme, All In, reminded us that reconciliation calls on each of us to show up with intention every day. It is not something that happens on its own, and it is not the responsibility of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples alone.

The conversations were thought provoking, reinforcing that real progress comes when we work together, take responsibility, and move beyond words into meaningful action. ❤️💛🖤

Today marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week 2026. The theme is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.

All In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change.

The theme also reminds us that reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people, who have carried the weight of championing, explaining and acting for far too long.

Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us.

We had such a great time celebrating Neighbourhood Centre Week! 🏠💜
We were dancing along with the music played by the Caloundra Music Club, enjoying plenty of yummy food, fun activities and so many meaningful connections.
Thanks to everyone who joined us, it’s the people that make our centres so special. We loved every minute of it! 🤩
