To all Residents and BeCA Facebook Followers- update

Caloundra Congestion Busting Plan
Upcoming underground service mark-out activities.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is continuing to progress designs for the following Caloundra Congestion Busting Plan projects:

Caloundra Road, Kawana Way Link Road and Bells Creek Arterial Road interchange
Caloundra Road and Bellvista Boulevard intersection upgrade
Caloundra Road, Nicklin Way and Pelican Waters Boulevard intersection upgrade.

As part of design work, TMR will temporarily mark, peg and/or flag areas associated with underground services across project areas over the coming weeks. These areas are shown in the map below.

This may involve marking areas associated with pipes, cables, drains and other infrastructure for water, sewerage, stormwater, power, telecommunications and fibre optic services.

These activities will support ongoing design development and construction planning for the projects.

The underground service mark-out activities will be carried out during the day from Monday to Friday, between 6am and 6pm, and are expected to take approximately two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

The activities will not be intrusive, and no traffic changes are expected.

Good morning or afternoon to our loyal BeCA Membership followers-

The Bellvista and Bells Reach Community Association has been operational for 18 years and has a proud history of supporting the residents in Bellvista, Bells Reach and Arbour through engagement with all levels of Government and developers to ensure our residents have a voice when it comes to infrastructure, local council services, mobile phone services etc to name a few.

BeCA currently has a small volunteer committee of 7 local residents. To ensure the community organisation can continue to do their valuable work we must have an executive team lead by a President.

It’s with regret that the current President of the past 5 years is stepping down for family commitment reasons and therefore we are sending this request to our loyal members seeking nominations from them for this role.

The nominations need to be in by the 27/10/26 ( 14 days before the AGM on the 10/11/26)

Our thanks to everyone for reading this request and we hope you will give the nomination serious consideration.

To all Residents and BeCA Facebook Followers- just a reminder on parking in Qld

Parking in Narrow streets

The 3-Metre Rule in Qld-
A road is considered "narrow" if the drivable surface (excluding kerbs and gutters) is less than 6 metres wide.

• Clear Roadway Distance: You must leave at least 3 metres of clear roadway beside your car to allow single-file traffic or emergency vehicles to pass.
• Opposite Vehicles: You must not park within 3 metres of another vehicle parked directly opposite yours on the other side of the street.
• Dividing Lines: You must maintain at least a 3-metre distance from any continuous dividing lines or dividing strips.
• Direction: Always Park parallel to the kerb and facing the same direction as the traffic flow on your side of the road.
• Distance Between Cars: You cannot park closer than 1 metre to a vehicle parked immediately in front or behind you.
• Driveways & Paths: Do not block driveways, mailboxes, fire hydrants (keep 1 metre clear), or pedestrian footpaths

🚘 Parking Enforcement rules 🚘

- 3 metre spacing- Why is this an important road rule? 🤔

🚗 Allows continued traffic flow
🚒 Emergency vehicle access
♻️ Waste collection vehicle access.

Thank you everyone.

Keep safe on our roads.
