As we head into beautiful September time for a garden spruce up. Having a bit of a working bee on Saturday 5th. Just rock up with gloves to spread a bit of mulch to try to conserve any moisture we are lucky enough to get. Members, make any newcomers welcome. It's not all about toil, lots of camaraderie on these days. Enjoy and thanks in advance!

We head into a new financial year after a fruitful and enjoyable AGM. We welcome several new members as well some fresh faces onto the committee. Thank you all for stepping in. And huge thanks to the retiring executive committee for past dedication.
Had some tasty platters from Salties, and learned things about inflorescence (the colour on the throat of Di's beautiful broms).

We had a little bit of chitty chat at our last meeting despite only a cosy few present due to clashing with Mt Larc Show.

Don't miss Saturday's meeting. (18th April). Members and friends welcome.
We are lucky enough to also welcome John Moynihan to talk about basic First Aid responses.
The Calliope Garden Club has invested in its members and the community by purchasing a Defibrillator. John is highly qualified and donating his time to give us a bit of a run down on the operation of the defib as well as other hints on emergency reactions.
Meeting starts at 1. 30 sharp.

After our last meeting when we chatted with Ruby and Noey from CQ Hydroponics on Dalrymple Drive, about all things Hydroponic, we are changing it up. Thank you both for some very informative tips on growing without soil.
Now, how good are you at a blank canvas?
Well members and friends we are heading bush on Saturday (21st). Mandy has moved and is super keen to start a garden while there's still moisture around.
