Another beautiful morning in with our favourite people 🫶

650 baby flew into the ground within the hour, leaving lots of time for chats, cake and camaraderie 🌱

representative Tanya, took over the smoko talks this morning, helping us understand how the good work we do on land, helps protect our magnificent and endangered seagrass meadows 🐢🐳

.au are calling for better policy and laws, to further help mitigate sediment and erosion from entering our waterways, and smothering our reef 🪸

As always, it's an absolute joy to join the annual FNQ Environment Roundtable and connect with other groups in the region 🌱🙏

The roundtable brings everyone together, allowing us to learn about which areas we all look after, our focus for the following year and how we can collaborate for a more unified and supported approach 🌏

Treeforce volunteers have planted a whopping 12500 baby native trees this year!! 💪🥰

A mammoth effort, thank you for all of your dedication, passion and for wanting to help in your patch 🙏🙏

Today was super hot, super sunny and our awesome pitched in to get the job finished, well done ✅👏

Our wonderful friends at and the .au shouted us a very yummy morning tea and shared what the new federal laws overhaul means for of our beloved and 🐡🌴

And, well, we think and the Labor Party can do a lot better to protect our environment from deforestation, then what has been put on the table 📝

Hey Citizen Scientists! Exciting news from last weeks Great Southern Bioblitz iNaturalist.org prepartion activity.

Dr David Rentz, our Guest entomologist expert beleives he may have found a new species of Native insect on that night. A little brown native cockroach in the Carbrunneria Genus! (2nd Picture) Well done David, and well done to the team of families who came and helped find critters and worked with I naturalist and experts to get them identified.

This is the power of I naturalist, putting the eyes of the world out into nature to feed information to science.

Don't forget, the Great Southern Bioblitz starts this Friday 24 October to Monday.

So please download iNaturalist.org app to your device, go out there 🏃🏼‍♂️‍➡️🏃🏽‍♂️‍➡️🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️and get🐞 buggin', 🦅 birding and 🍄 shrooming’. I nat can help identify all forms of life! 🤩

Insect Spotting was a tremendous night this Saturday! About 50 people, mostly families came along to learn how to use I naturalist ahead of next weeks Great Southern Bioblitz.

With guidance from Dr David Rentz, Matt Connors, and Treeforce, everyone got buggin’ and learned how to use Inaturalist. Was a well attended and well enjoyed activity and Pizza night.

Thanks to our Expert helpers, this Citizen Science event was sponsored by Treeforce, for the community.

Well that's a wrap, and what an awesome year it has been for 🌏

Today another 1000 flew into the ground in record time this morning at our site, bringing our total planted since our last AGM to a whopping 10,334! 🌱

That is Treeforces biggest year yet! 👏👏

Big thanks to all of our superstar who continue to rock up, and continue to help us achieve massive outcomes 🎉

We also hosted our Annual General Meeting and welcome Ryan M and Renee L to the committee! big thanks to Miriam who has stepped down, your help for the last while is much appreciated 🙏

We will take a little break from and start back up when the rain is falling consistently. Watch this space for other events in the meantime 📸🐍
