Hello world...sorry I've been away for so long. My universe is upside down and there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. I have received some beautiful gowns from the gracious Rachel and fabulous Holly...if only I had a craft room to make in. House renovations are underway and hopefully soon I'll be able to get back behind the machine. My new job takes me away from home for almost 12 hours a day so that's not helping. The amazing Judith E. Crabtree has put me in contact with a funeral home in Brisbane that loves our packs so I'll be sending a box to them shortly with handmade goodies 💜 while we're FNQ based it's heartening to know we can help Australia wide if we need too. Obviously locals come first but if you know of anyone else that would like any of our baby packs please let me know 💜

Hello world....long time no see💜 Sorry I've been away so long...between funerals and new job I haven't had a lot of personal time to sew or be here. Lots of people to thank though. Firstly Jodie R of Gladstone and the wonderful Judith E. Crabtree sent through some beautiful gowns. I did actually get four blue ones but don't have the hanging space for display purposes. Judith also makes the most gorgeous cocoons which is good because I can't 💜 Secondly thank you to Claire Giblin for her donation bag of goodies...so many cool things in there to play with 😘 and last but not least my amazing friend Tracey found me another fabulous wedding dress and assorted fabrics 💋 Please don't expect too much in the way of outfits atm as I'm off to Japan soon for a few weeks on a very much needed holiday but once I'm back then we'll be back in full force crafting goodness. Our last box of shrouds, cocoons, covers and outfits was very much appreciated by the hospitals and funeral homes. Sorry for the epic novel

My amazing cake lady Leigh going above and beyond for a grieving family. So lovely to see us all coming together and supporting each other in times of need

Trigger warning....infant loss.

Butterflies and forest vibes. For a teeny tiny human who was here on earth for the shortest time but left an imprint that will last a lifetime.

Being gifted the opportunity to make a cake every year for a much loved little boy is both an honour and a privilege.

Cake is made for sharing. That's my motto and it will remain true indefinitely.

These milestone celebrations are an opportunity to gather together and remind each other that during the worst moments of life, there are people by our side lightening the load in shared sorrow.

It's a chance to share memories and feel all the things without apology or the need to filter our thoughts. Because those people by our side will catch us if we fall, sit with us in silence or scream with us at the heavens or whatever it is we need to do to get through the day.

And they will keep doing that as long or as often as we need them to.

One tiny human. Always remembered. I wonder if he knows he built stronger bonds between those he left behind in his short time here. I like to think he does.

Hello beautiful people 💜 I've been home for a week from our hiatus in Tasmania and have been trying new things. The wonderful Judith E. Crabtree gave me permission to use her crossover gown pattern 🤩 Maybe not the best for boy suits but maybe it just needs some tweaking. Tomorrow I start a new fulltime job with Cairns Libraries and I'm just a little excited 🥰 Means a little less time for sewing at the moment but once I'm in my new office then I can run AB as a community project 🎉💜
