🛑 Important Announcement from Worklink 🛑
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Worklink after nearly 30 years of dedicated service to the Cairns community. We have made the difficult decision to voluntarily cease operations, and this process will take place over the next month to ensure a smooth transition for our participants to new service providers.
Since our founding in 1995, Worklink has been committed to supporting the mental health and recovery journeys of people in Cairns. From our roots as a Disability Employment Service to becoming a registered NDIS provider and home to two social enterprises, we have continuously worked to serve our community.
However, despite the tireless efforts of our team and community, the challenging economic environment and shifting market conditions have made it increasingly difficult to continue our work.
As our participants transition to new services, we are also committed to supporting our dedicated employees in securing new roles within the industry, ensuring they can continue their important work serving Far North Queensland’s vulnerable communities.
While we don’t have a final closure date yet, our Disability Employment Services (DES) will be realigned under CoAct by Friday, 4 October 2024.
