DISTRICT GRAND LODGE OF CARPENTARIA ART UNION

On Wednesday the 16th of September the District Grand Master RW.Bro.Dave Scott and the President of the District Board of Benevolence RW.Bro.Alan Sims. OSB. PJGW. presented the winners with their prize vouchers. The first prize a $32.800.00. Kimberley Cruise donated by Coral Expeditions, won by Kim Ollson from Mt.Garnet, Second prize a $4.000.00. Fishing Charter donated by Bounty Hunter Cairns, won by Wayne Maitland from Gordonvale and the third prize a $900.00. BBQ won by Ange Collins from Cairns donated by Harvey Norman Cairns. All proceeds from the Art Union go to COUCH CANCER HUB NQ.
As well as that we advised COUCH of the total for our Community Partnership where the District were looking at a target of $150.000.00. over two years. End result after 14 months is $184.744.00. This program will now stop and the next venture starts.

We were pleased to welcome Bro. Fabrizio Chandia into the Lodge following his initiation on Monday, 20 April. The ceremony was undoubtably made more memorable for the candidate by the attendance of the District Grand Master, RW Bro. Dave Scott, accompanied by his Deputy, VW Bro. Lex Livingstone,(the photographer) together with a distinguished body of District Grand Officers,
Bro. Fabrizio will receive the First Degree Tracing Board and an explanation of the First Degree at the Lodge meeting on 18 May.
