A Turtlely Awesome Citizen Science Opportunity with Quicksilver! Did you know you can help scientists discover more about Great Barrier Reef turtles on your Quicksilver Cruises adventure? At Quicksilver’s Agincourt Reef activity platform, an ongoing study has revealed the site is an important habitat for juvenile green turtles, with 38 resident individuals already identified. Charli, Indy, Rocket, Tripod and Little Foot are just some of the turtles you might see while snorkelling, diving or even from the semi-submersible.

Now, you can become part of the research! If you spot a turtle during your day on the reef, take a photo and share it with Quicksilver’s Reef Biosearch marine biologists. Each turtle has a unique pattern of facial scales, allowing the team to identify and track individuals over time. Who knows… you might even get naming rights!

Skyrail Ranger's Chelsea and Siegi recently spotted this spiny-legged rainforest katydid at Skyrail's Barron Falls Station while conducting their Ranger Guided Tour. These camouflaged creatures have also featured in student research funded by the Foundation. Would you have spotted this on your rainforest wandering?
