It's not every day that one of your "long term" participants turns 18!

But today's the day for Chloe White. From starting out as a fresh-faced 13-year-old, these days she holds her own in the top packs and has even been named Queen of the Mountain.

We hope you've had a great day, Chloe. We're honoured you and your family are part of the Cardiac Challenge family.

There is just no slowing this lady down.

More than 21 years ago, her and hubby Mick's youngest child Landon was born with Truncus Arteriosus.

Years of surgeries, specialist appointments, trips to Brisbane and Landon is now an upstanding young man, finished school, working and contributing to society.

But for Bronwyn (and Mick) their commitment to helping improve cardiac services in FNQ, never fades.

And today it's HER birthday.

So on behalf of cardiac patients in FNQ, thank you Bron. Happy birthday!

🚲 If you're registered for this year's ride, the link to the participant guide has been emailed to you.

🚲Wednesday, September 9, 5.30pm for 6pm - Pack Leader & Es**rt Driver briefing. Hospital Auditorium, 2nd Floor A Block, entry from the Esplanade.

🚲Sunday, September 13, afternoon - Es**rt Driver Training Session (with two rider packs) Location TBA (most likely Gordonvale). The session will run for approximately 1 to 2 hours, with the exact time still to be confirmed.

🚲Wednesday, September 16, 5.30pm - Rider briefing including kit and jersey collection @ Brothers Cairns

Now you know we don't play favourites.

And we have lots of special people in the Cardiac Challenge family.

But seriously, who do you know who trained with their eldest child on their own bike, one on the back of hers and towing another two in their trailer?

She's an artist, a musician, a mum, wife, daughter, photographer, cyclist, runner - oh, and a doctor as well.

But despite all these things, she's also one of the most humble, down-to-earth humans around. And we're grateful that she's part of the family.
