World Rivers Day is an annual global event celebrated on the fourth Sunday of every September, emphasizing the importance of rivers and fostering greater public awareness and stewardship for river conservation worldwide.

Help make a difference in our local environment and be part of a community effort to keep our waterways clean!

FNQ Rotaract invites everyone in the community to join us for a World Rivers Day Clean Up at Lily Creek.

Together, we can help remove litter, protect local wildlife, and keep our beautiful waterways healthy for future generations.

Local youth campaigner, 17-year old Claudia Kurowski has lost the only family member she has, so now the Cairns community is stepping in to help with a fundraising campaign launched in her dad's honour.
