FNQ Young Rotaract Club

This is what 7 people can achieve in a few hours. 👇

Today FNQ Young Rotaract continued our Clean Up Cairns series with another cleanup along Lily Creek.

Our volunteers collected:

♻️ 3 bags of recyclables for Container for Change
🗑️ 8 bags of general rubbish
🚲 Bicycle parts
❄️ Air conditioner parts
🪣 Metal trays
💰 A cash register
🛏️ A doona cover
🔩 Metal beams

And that’s just what we found today.

It was a great reminder that looking after our local environment isn’t someone else’s responsibility. It’s something all of us can play a part in.

We’re incredibly grateful to the 7 volunteers who gave up their time to help clean up Cairns today. 🙌

Massive thanks to Clean Up Australia for supplying our bags, gloves and sharps container.

If you spot our filled bags along the Lily Creek roadways, please don’t move them or add to them — Council will be collecting them.

We’ll keep cleaning, volunteering and doing our bit for Cairns. 💚
