When you empower women, you empower communities
Empowering Women Empowering Communities (EWEC) is focussed on empowering women to engage, be brave and be bold, and - most importantly – to ‘have a go’. We are at the forefront of what we do because we focus on the women we are contracted to work with. We insist they drive the agenda while at the same time ensuring our clients’ needs are being met.
Our Empowering Women Program centres around building women’s confidence and skills so they can contribute to a powerful movement of supporting women and girls less fortunate than themselves, as well as finding ways to create additional income and a life that has meaning and purpose.
Our Empowering Youth Program focuses on children and young people and utilises engaging and fun creative and performing arts activities to showcase pathways to employment or creative pursuits that can keep them in community, or - if they desire - start to explore the world while maintaining strong connections to community.
EWEC’s founder, Yolonde Entsch, is a passionate advocate for empowering women of all ages, places, cultures and communities. She is absolutely committed to making change and creating opportunities and achieves this through designing and delivering highly-successful tailored programs, as an inspirational and engaging guest speaker, and by volunteering her time, experience and skills. Yolonde was recently selected as a finalist in the 2019 Cairns Business Women’s Club Awards ‘Small Business Owner of the Year’ category in recognition of her work.
