Thank you to the Kenyan community, Kenyans in Cairns - KIC, for the warm invitation to join your Madaraka Day and Mother’s Day celebrations.

It was a privilege for the Study Cairns team to be part of such a vibrant and welcoming event, filled with culture, community spirit, laughter, music and incredible Kenyan cuisine. We were delighted to celebrate alongside international Kenyan students, families and community members and to experience the generosity and hospitality that make the Kenyan community so special.

Congratulations to the Kenya in Cairns Committee and all the volunteers who worked behind the scenes to create such a memorable day. Your dedication, passion and sense of community were evident in every detail.

It was great to see students coming together, exploring the Hub, and learning more about life in Cairns and what to expect during their studies. These first connections and conversations are an important part of settling into a new environment and feeling at home.

What an inspiring Saturday spent with our Student Ambassadors 2026/2027.

Our Student Ambassador Training brought together an enthusiastic group of students eager to develop their leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. Throughout the day, participants engaged in interactive activities, gained valuable insights into effective leadership, and built strong connections with their fellow ambassadors.

A special thank you to Jeff for delivering an engaging and informative training session. Your expertise, encouragement, and passion for developing young leaders made the day both enjoyable and impactful.

Thank you also to all the students who attended with such enthusiasm and commitment. We are excited to see you step into your ambassador roles and make a positive difference throughout the year.

We were pleased to welcome a student from Sun Pacific College - English Language School Rto:41557 - Cricos:02748f to the Hub this afternoon. She spent her time enjoying a relaxed space while focusing on her studies, making the most of a productive and comfortable environment.

It’s always great to see our space used for learning, connection, and a bit of calm in between busy schedules. We love being a place where students can feel at home while they study and recharge.

🍕What an amazing turnout for Pizza Day at the Student Hub today! 🎉

We had 24 boxes of pizza disappear fast, two separate games of UNO going at the same time, a movie playing, and so many students getting together to chat, laugh, and hang out. It was great seeing the Hub so full of energy and connection.

Thanks to everyone who came along and helped make it such a fun afternoon — we’re already looking forward to the next one!
