Our Yirrganydji Rangers were out on water patrolling Yirrganydji TUMRA country. It was awesome to head out to Hastings Reef and Michaelmas Cay, and we topped off the day with a trip around Double Island.
Nothing beats a day out protecting and monitoring our beautiful sea country!

We recently took some of our Junior Rangers to Lady Elliot Island to learn more about marine life and build a deeper connection to nature.

This paradise provided an amazing backdrop for our young rangers to gain knowledge, experience, and understanding. It’s always a pleasure to see our future leaders stepping up—our future is in good hands!

On Friday, our Yirrganydji Rangers had the privilege of catching up with our great partners from Great Barrier Reef Legacy at their Port Douglas base! We always value our shared commitment and collaboration in protecting our beautiful reef and sea country.
We are also thrilled to welcome Matthew back to the team, and give a big welcome to our newest Ranger, Dustin!

Inspiring the next generation! 🌿
Last weekend, Dawul Wuru had the privilege of hosting the Yirrganydji Junior Rangers at the Holloways Beach Environmental Education Centre. We loved sharing stories and training with such an engaged group of future leaders!

Strong collaboration with AIMS today as we discussed long-term sea monitoring programs and expanding opportunities for our rangers on Sea Country. There’s no better classroom or meeting room than being out on Country surrounded by the mangrove ecosystems that connect our land and sea. Looking forward to where these programs lead!🤝

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to share ideas, strengthen relationships, and discuss future opportunities for collaborative management and conservation.

Our Yirrganydji Rangers joined forces with JCUTropWater to deploy temperature loggers across our local seagrass beds. This valuable data will show us how fluctuating water temperatures are affecting these vital marine habitats.
