Last fortnight we had a delightful visit from our very own Matt Smith MP.

He was wonderful in answering all our curly questions and said that he’d be happy for members of our group and community to get in touch with his office regarding issues they may be facing.

Jason and Jeff from Rights and Action will be attending our morning tea tomorrow so make sure you’re there!

FNQ Dementia Alliance are hosting team from Sydney University working on tailoring a brand new Dementia Navigation Program (government funded program).

“We’re visiting Cairns to talk with carers about dementia navigation and learn about what support is needed in the community. Join us on Tuesday 3 March at 10:00am to share your experiences and help us shape the Dementia Navigator program so it works better for local families. We’d love to meet you and hear your story."

Last weekend we had our final BBQ fundraiser of the year. Thank you to everyone who came down and grabbed and snag or raffle and a special thank you to our wonderful volunteers who worked tirelessly to produce the tastiest sausage sizzles!

Massive congratulations to our raffle winner Lyndal from Mount Sheridan!!! Well deserved.
