If you’ve been thinking about a pathway into the mining and resources industry, this could be your opportunity.

Through our funded training pathway, eligible participants may be able to access training at no cost.

You may be eligible if you:

✔ Live in Cairns or Townsville
✔ Are an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible visa holder
✔ Are aged 16+ and not currently enrolled at school
✔ Are currently job seeking, casually employed or working part-time
✔ Have not completed a Certificate III or higher qualification

This pathway is designed to support people looking to gain practical skills, industry exposure and prepare for employment opportunities.

Sometimes the hardest step is simply asking the question.

☀️ A LOT CAN CHANGE IN 12 MONTHS.

June 2025, some of our participants had never stepped onto a drill site.

They didn't have industry experience. They didn't know what opportunities might exist.

They simply made a decision:
👉 to show up
👉 to learn
👉 to back themselves

Fast forward to June 2026, some are working in the industry. Others are building new skills, confidence and direction.

The lesson?

You don't need to have everything figured out. You just need to take the next step.

Because the person you become over the next 12 months will be shaped by the decisions you make today.

🚧 MINING ISN'T JUST A CAREER PATH FOR MEN.

More and more women are stepping into the mining and resources industry and proving that determination, attitude and willingness to learn matter far more than stereotypes.

Is it easy?

No.

Early starts.
Long days.
Tough conditions.
Time away from home.

But for many, it's also:

✅ confidence
✅ opportunities they never thought possible

The mining industry needs people from all backgrounds, and some of the strongest performers on site are women who backed themselves and gave it a go.
