FROM DRILLER’S ASSISTANT STUDENT TO UNDERGROUND DIAMOND DRILLER — JAYLEN’S SUCCESS STORY!

What can one opportunity, hard work and determination lead to? Just ask Jaylen!

We recently caught up with Jaylen, a graduate of our Our Youth Our Future Driller’s Assistant Program, who has taken the next step towards his career goals and is now working as an Underground Diamond Driller!

Jaylen’s journey is a fantastic example of what can come from taking that first step, committing to training and making the most of an opportunity. The Driller’s Assistant Program is designed to help participants gain nationally recognised qualifications, practical skills, industry knowledge and employment pathway support to help them work towards a future in the drilling and mining industry.

His story is a reminder that your starting point does not have to determine your future. With the right support and a clear goal, you can begin building a pathway towards a career you may never have thought possible.

FROM DA PROGRAM GRADUATE TO DRILLER OFFSIDER — CLYNT’S SUCCESS STORY!

What can the Our Youth Our Future Driller’s Assistant (DA) Program lead to? Just ask Clynt! 👏

We recently caught up with Clynt to hear about his journey after completing our Driller’s Assistant Program. Since completing the program, Clynt has taken the next step towards his career goals and is now working as a Driller Offsider!

Clynt’s journey is a great example of what can be possible when you take the opportunity to learn new skills, gain industry knowledge and commit to building a future in the drilling and mining industry.

Our program is designed to help participants develop practical skills, gain nationally recognised qualifications and build the confidence and employment readiness needed to pursue opportunities in the resources sector.

While completing the program doesn’t guarantee a job, Clynt’s achievement shows how training, determination and the right support can help open doors to new career pathways.

Last week, we were pleased to welcome Joanne and Simone, representatives from Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) onsite during the practical training for our Our Youth Our Future Driller’s Assistant Program in Townsville.

It was a great opportunity to showcase the work being delivered by Fiji Community Association FNQ (FCA) and the commitment of our participants throughout their training.

We’re proud to share that this group successfully completed their training last week, marking another important milestone for our Townsville program.

We were also delighted to receive such positive feedback from the department, recognising FCA’s delivery of the project and the high standard we are setting, truly setting the bar for the program.

A huge congratulations to all our participants for their hard work and commitment. We’re proud to be supporting Queenslanders as they build skills and take steps towards a future in the drilling and mining industry.
