Edge Hill/Whitfield Progress Association Community Hall The Edge Hill/Whitfield Progress Association celebrates 100 Years. (1921-2021). Established in 1921 by local residents of Edge Hill.

The Edge Hill Community Hall provide a venue for hire to local community groups to use for leisure activities in the health & well-being of the residents of the Cairns area. it was important for the local community to gather and communicate the issues in the future development of Cairns & Edge Hill. In 1923 the foundations commenced to build a community hall and officially opened in 1925. Today th

e hall plays a vital importance for community "not-for-profit organisations in providing a local venue for multi-cultural activities and various leisure groups in the health & well-being of its residents within the Cairns area.
