💔 An Important Message from Hope4 Paws Animal Rescue
Dear friends, followers, and fellow animal lovers;
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share some difficult news with you today. After a great deal of soul-searching and heartfelt conversations, Hope4Paws Animal Rescue Inc will be closing its doors permanently due to a combination of circumstances and challenges.
This decision has not been made lightly, and every part of it has been felt deeply.
Equally heartbreaking has been the ongoing shortage of foster carers — the lifeblood of any rescue. Without them, there is simply no rescue, and sadly that shortage has been one of the most defining challenges of our journey.
We also want to be transparent about something many people may not realise;
Beyond the animals themselves, there are unavoidable operational expenses such as public liability/volunteer insurances, registration costs and other costs all of which are required simply to keep our doors open. Knowing that even a portion of donated funds is being absorbed by these overheads rather than going directly to animals in need does not sit comfortably with us, and never has.
We would rather close with integrity and redirect every remaining dollar to rescues actively saving lives.
All of these factors combined have made it impossible for us to continue in good conscience. If you have ever considered fostering for a rescue, please know just how vital that role is. We encourage you to reach out to other organisations in your area who still desperately need your help in that way. 🐾

💳 If you are donating to us via direct debit, please cancel this now. We kindly ask all recurring donors to log into your banking app or contact your bank to stop any scheduled payments to Hope4 Paws Animal Rescue Inc as soon as possible. Please don't delay with this one!
💰 Any remaining funds in our accounts will be donated to other deserving animal rescues. We will post all receipts publicly here on our page, and they will also be included in our financial statements submitted to the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) — because transparency matters to us, always.
🐾 We need YOUR help deciding where the funds go!
We would love to hear from our wonderful community on this. If there is a rescue close to your heart that you feel is truly deserving, please drop their name in the comments below. While we cannot make any guarantees, we will absolutely take your suggestions on board and do our very best to support those doing incredible work. 💛
⏳ Timeline & Updates
We expect the full closure process to take up to three months maximum. We will be holding a General Meeting as part of this process, after which we will be able to confirm a final closure date. We will keep you updated here on our page every step of the way — you won't be left in the dark, we promise.
To every person who has followed us, shared our posts, donated, adopted, fostered or simply sent us a kind word along the way — thank you. Truly. Your support has carried us further than you will ever know, and we are so grateful for every single one of you.
Rescues like ours run on love, late nights, and the unwavering belief that every animal deserves a chance. You have been the fuel that kept that belief alive, and for that we will be forever grateful.
The road has not always been easy — in fact, there have been moments that have broken our hearts completely — but knowing that animals found safety, love, and forever homes because of this community makes every single moment worth it.
And please know — this is not the end of our love for animals. 🐶🐱 Both Ana and I will be continuing to volunteer and foster for other wonderful rescues because that passion for animals doesn't just switch off. The animals will always have our hearts, and this community will always hold a very special place in them too.
