International qualifications in Chinese medicine and related health disciplines may be recognised in Australia, but they must go through formal assessment and verification processes 🌏📄

In most cases, overseas qualifications are required to be assessed through VETASSESS and must align with the standards and registration requirements set by the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMBA) under AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).

International qualifications may be considered for recognition only when they have been:
✔ Formally assessed and verified
✔ Matched against Australian qualification standards
✔ Aligned with CMASA accreditation and professional requirements
✔ Supported by relevant documentation and evidence of training

This process helps ensure consistency, safety, and professional standards across all registered practitioners in Australia.

First Aid certification is an essential requirement for safe and responsible clinical practice in Australia 🩺

The HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate is generally valid for 3 years from the date of issue and must remain current for CMASA membership compliance. This course must be completed through face-to-face (in-person) training to ensure practical competency in emergency response skills.

CMASA does not require HLTAID009 Provide CPR as a standalone requirement unless specifically required by certain modalities or external regulatory conditions.

Registered Nurses may provide their valid AHPRA registration as equivalent evidence, with renewal aligned to AHPRA registration requirements (generally annual renewal by 30 November).
