SUNDAY RECAP | LESS OF ME, MORE OF GOD

A special thank you to Pastor Robert M Lama Vea his beautiful wife Pastor D E E and family for joining us this Sunday 🤍 we’re so grateful for your presence, your heart for God and the powerful Word you shared with us.

We’re reminded to examine our hearts and recognise the subtle ways pride can take root when our dependence shifts from God to ourselves.

Pride says, “Look what I’ve done.”
Humility says, “Lord, I need You.”

We are God-made, not self-made! Everything we are, everything we have and everything God has brought us through points back to Him 🙌🏽 When we begin depending on our own strength, comparing ourselves to others or taking credit for what belongs to God, pride can take the place of dependence.

Through Luke 18:9–14, Ps Rob reminded us that true humility recognises our constant need for a Saviour. Our walk with God should never become routine… it should be marked by humility, submission, obedience and complete dependence on Him.

Three reminders about pride:
1. It can disguise itself as being spiritual.
2. It stops us from depending on God.
3. It can enter through comparison.

So the question remains: Are we depending on God some of the time, or all of the time?

May our hearts continually cry, LESS OF ME, MORE OF GOD. ❤️‍🔥

Even when His way is difficult, stay the course. Walk humbly. Remain dependent. Keep your eyes on Jesus!!

Less of our strength. Less of our pride. More of His presence. More of His will. More of GOD 🙏🏽🙌🏽

Recap time — Sunday service 27th of Sept 2026

With praise & worship honing our focus and hearts on Jesus this morning, we felt the warmth of the Holy Spirit, remembering why we trust God and all He has pulled us through.

Big ups and thank you to Daniel Mpamaugo for sharing the word of God today and calling us out from complacent Christianity and reminding us that “we are called for more; do not settle!”.

We diagnosed our current state, checking our habits to see if we are ‘settling’.
➡️ If we haven’t grown in the knowledge of Christ, if our prayer life is non-existent, if we have a habit of not studying the word, if we are used to ignoring the leading of the Holy Spirit, if we are king or queen of our world, if we are no longer changing into God’s image, and if we are no longer hungry for Him or His word, then we are unfortunately ‘settling’, not growing.

To grow, we need the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God to know Jesus and His word (Eph 1:17-19). The Holy Spirit can give us the capacity to know more of God, to understand, not just by head knowledge but by revelation.

There is a hope to which God has called us, His saints. The hope is to be with Him and to see Him. The hope is to be like Him. The hope is to receive an inheritance. (1Jn3:2-3; 1Pet1:3-5).

God, creator of heaven and earth, wants an inheritance, and chose us, out of all creation! He loves us! What a privilege and honour we possess 🥰

The power God has cannot be measured. That power is active on the inside of us, in our lives.
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead works in us! So we cannot live life like we are powerless! Let’s not live life defeated, but instead let us CONTEND for more through the immeasurable power of the Holy Spirit 🙌

How do we maintain a consistent pursuit:
* Request for revelation of God (“open my eyes to see You and experience You in a new way”)
* Reflect on the revelation
* Request for divine wisdom

Such an empowering morning, let us not be changed for a day but continue with intention our consistent pursuit to grow and learn more of God everyday 🙏

A special thank you to Regan Rona his beautiful wife liana ⟡ and family for joining us this Sunday and blessing our church family.

We’re so grateful for the Word, the wisdom and the reminder of what it truly looks like to put our FAITH IN ACTION 🔥🔥🔥

Regan reminded us that faith isn’t simply something we say we have… it’s something that becomes visible in the way we live.

Faith begins in the secret place… before our faith is seen publicly, there is a private surrender choosing Jesus, trusting His Word, fighting the flesh and allowing Him to transform us from the inside out.

Ultimately, our faith points us back to Jesus ✝️🔥 The One who loved us first, gave Himself for us and continues to transform us from the inside out. May our lives be more than words… may they be a living response to His love, bringing glory to God in the way we trust, obey, serve and love others.

May the fruit of our lives always reveal the One we belong to 🔥🔥🔥🔥
