May is Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month. It is a time to raise awareness and recommit to ending domestic and family violence in our communities.

This year's theme is 'Together Queenslanders can prevent domestic and family violence'.

Everyone has a role to play. That can be learning to recognise the signs, having conversations, promoting respect and gender equality, or challenging attitudes that excuse or minimise violence.

You can get involved by attending a community event, hosting your own, or sharing information with your networks. Find or register an event: www.qld.gov.au/dfvpmonth

If you or someone you know needs support, reach out:

Today is โ€” first recognised in 2007 by the United Nations as a global day of recognition, understanding, and celebration. While today honours autistic voices, strengths, and achievements, AQโ€™s Autism Month also shines a light on the realities many autistic Australians continue to face:

๐Ÿงก 63% of autistic Australians feel lonely at school, with 1 in 2 autistic high school students changing schools to find somewhere they belong or leaving altogether.
๐Ÿ’› 3 in 4 autistic jobseekers are never offered a paid job, despite being qualified. Completely disregarded or denied the chance to thrive.
๐Ÿ’š 40% of autistic Australians are afraid of being misunderstood when leaving their home, with 50% feeling completely isolated by their community.

These aren't just statistics... they're True stories of people who deserve to be supported and feel they belong. This is more than a campaign about colour. Itโ€™s a movement about belonging, something that matters to everyone.

This , and today for World Autism Day, take part in the movement by wearing colour, sharing incredible autistic stories, uniting communities, having conversations, sharing resources, and making a lasting impact with a donation.

We are so thankful to all our supporters and fundraisers, making a real difference for autistic Queenslanders of all ages!
