In a world of texts, emails and quick messages, there’s something special about taking the time to put pen to paper. ✍️

Today, why not write a note to someone who might need a little encouragement? It could be a friend, family member, neighbour, volunteer, or someone you haven’t spoken to in a while.

Today we wear purple to show LGBTQIA+ young people that they are seen, valued, respected and supported. 🫶

This Speech Pathology Week, we’re celebrating the many ways people communicate, connect and participate in their communities.

Communication is more than just talking. It can be through speech, signs, gestures, writing, technology, facial expressions and so many other ways. 💬🤝

Speech pathologists support people of all ages with communication and swallowing, helping people to express themselves, understand others, build confidence and participate more fully in everyday life.

Today, we’re joining communities across Australia in recognising Daffodil Day - a day of hope, support and coming together for people affected by cancer. 💛

The daffodil is a symbol of hope and reminds us that behind every cancer diagnosis is a person, a family, a friend and a community.

Today we acknowledge those living with cancer, celebrate survivors, remember those we have lost, and recognise the incredible work being done in cancer research, prevention and support. 🌼

Together, our communities can make a difference.
