🐣 EASTER EGG HUNT THIS SATURDAY 🐣

We’re so excited to be back at Centenary Lakes this Saturday, April 4th from 10am–1pm for a special Easter event 💜

This year’s egg hunt is proudly run in partnership with Apex club of Caboolture, who help care for Centenary Lakes and make events like this possible.

We’ll be running the Easter egg hunt in waves:
• 10am
• 11am
• 12pm

There’ll also be raffle prizes up for grabs on the day 🎟️

Most importantly — we’ll be serving FREE lunch for anyone who comes by between 10am and 1pm. No catch, no cost. Just good food and community.

This also marks our return to Centenary Lakes as part of our new rotating location system, and we’ll now be there on the first Saturday of every month for lunch going forward.

Everything we do is run by volunteers and funded by donations, so if you’ve ever wanted to support what we do — grabbing a raffle ticket or just showing up means a lot.

Bring your family, bring your friends, or just come as you are. Everyone is welcome 🤍

HEY CRESTHAVEN WE’RE COMING FOR YA!! Eyes on the road from about 5:30 tonight. We’re collaborating with Tony Latter’s crew for a mega sleigh extravagaza 🚒🎄💚🔔🚨The sketchy highlighter gets another run!

While we’re all there we’ll chat about the maps for next year and get it sorted so you guys don’t keep getting missed. (And sweet talk him into doing the tracker thing for us 😉)

👑 Hear Ye! Royalty of King Street, we are headed your way! 🎄🚒🎅🏼🦌 Last run of the season! She’s a cloudy one but the big fella just flew in and he reckons we might be right. On track to start around Tullawong. I’ll let you know when they set off.

We aim to go to every street within the red dotted lines on our map in the pinned post but parked cars, tight culdesacs, low hanging trees and the weather can put a spanner in the works. Best to let the kids know they might see Santa, or let them get a nice surprise 💚🎄 Help your neighbours by keeping them updated and answering questions in the comments 🙏🏻 See you out there! 🚒🚨🔔

Hi Honeydew Melons, the team are off the road now so I’m on my soapbox to thank our volunteers. They seem like magic elves, but actually they’re just people; with gigantic hearts and jobs and kids and sports and anxiety and heat stroke and parents in hospital and so on. That they can find a smidge of energy to do this is a Christmas Miracle.

We’re very grateful for donations but it’s another thing altogether to find someone who can stay cheerful on a 6 hour suburban roadtrip in a firetruck with no aircon and a vinyl seat in QLD Summer. I can’t even see over the dash in that thing!

We’ve got one more run this year, King Street Area tomorrow arvo. The OG stomping ground. A handful of us grew up with our Dads running the sleigh in that area - no maps, no social media, not even any lollies!! Outrageous! If you too are a former “Little Apexian” and want to get on board next year give April a ring and we’ll make it happen! We need more people who can reach the pedals 🫠

PS: If you’re under the impression that this is a slick operation, you should know our maps are ten years old, printed on paper and marked with a dodgy green highlighter. If you want pre-planned routes and UberEats style tracking please hook us up with someone who knows how to do it 😳

You’re up Cab South! The team are brushing beards, shining buckles and filling up the tank with reindeer potion. They’ll hit the road at Fortune Esp soon🦌🚒✨. Then onto Riverbank where they’ll try to get to each street but it might be worth moseying out to a main road. I’ll update in the comments when I can.

Some new faces learning the ropes today, and some old hands who remember when the sleigh was just a rusty trailer way back in the 90s 😍 Please make them feel welcome in your neighbourhood - it’s a big deal for people to give up their precious weekends to flap around town with us! Please keep your little ones within hands reach and away from the road 🙏🏻

🚒🎅🏼🎄HEADS UP CAB EAST!! We’re on our way to you, ETA 20ish minutes. We’ll start on King street, Dux/edward etc, then over to Mewett/summerfields. Then up to Moorhead/Joyner and up through Bluestar. Then later we’ll weave down through the McKean Street side. I’ll try to keep you updated but I get pretty carried away singing Mariah Carey at the top of my lungs so keep ya mates posted in the comments. WOOOOO!!! Turn off the telly, bring a chair out under the sprinkler, and listen out for the sirens and 3 Megaphones 📣📢

Bellmere Babes!! We’re on our way. Planning to start on Bishop, Westminster, Allan.
