Are you raising your grandchildren?

You don't have to do it alone.

We are excited to introduce our newest support group: Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Chat Group.

We understand that taking on the guardian role of a grandchild can be challenging or overwhelming so this group has been created as a safe place to meet, socialise with others and allow people to share experiences, feelings, coping strategies and solutions with each other.

This group will also provide an opportunity for participants to learn new skills in their areas of interest, such as crafts, story writing or herb gardens etc.

For expressions of interest please call:

9 George Street , Caboolture

“Research shows support groups are just as effectve as one-on-one therapy because group members don’t feel judged, they are shown compassion and are inspired with hope as they see others
progress. They also help develop socialization skills and self-awareness. Families headed by grandparents or guardians can improve and maintain their emotional well-being by participating in group therapy.”- grandparentsandguardiansfoundation.org

This event is for you!

You don't need teaching qualifications to help people learn basic everyday and conversational English - the biggest qualification is that you CARE.

Do you have a passion for helping people learn English and connect with the community?
The CAMS Program is seeking volunteer English teachers to support people from multicultural and refugee backgrounds to improve their English skills and confidence.

As a volunteer you will help participants:
Develop everyday English skills
Build confidence in speaking and understanding English
Connect with local community
Support their employment goals.

Patience, encouragement, and a willingness to help others learn are the most important qualities.
Whether you can assist weekly or occasionally, we would love to hear from you.

Join us in making a difference in our community through language, connection and belonging.

For more information or expression of interest please contact The Caboolture Neighbourhood Centre on 07 5495 3818 or email [email protected]

We love and appreciate our volunteers and look forward to welcoming you to our friendly team

Being a parent can be very challenging!

Are you a parent or carer of children who wants to build stronger emotional connections, better understand behaviour, and feel more confident in your parenting role?

You may like to register for this FREE upcoming Parenting Skills Course.

Children communicate their needs through behaviour.
This program helps parents learn to:
• Recognise the emotional needs beneath behaviour
• Support independence while remaining emotionally available
• Respond to distress and big emotions with greater clarity and confidence
• Build stronger, more secure parent-child relationships over time

Rather than focusing on discipline techniques or quick fixes, the program centres on attachment, emotional connection, and long-term wellbeing.

Thursdays, 23rd July - 10th September

Time 10am – 12pm

This course is FREE
