WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES!!!

Over the recent school holidays, a crew headed out to our Glengarry campsite to tidy up the Maintenance and Storage Area.

While we would have loved to see more people there, those who did come along certainly made up for it! We ended the day having accomplished more than we originally planned.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who gave up their Saturday to help. A particularly big thank you goes to the fantastic crew of young(er) leaders plus Fabian and his dad from 6th Ipswich, who also came along. Thanks also to those Board Members who made it, plus a few other "odds and sods" who turned up and pitched in. A special shout-out to the regular GEC Working Bee crew (who emptied, moved and sorted through the Historical Centre archive shed once they had finished their usual Working Bee tasks). Thanks to each of you for your hard work and great attitude!

And what a result!!! The Maintenance & Storage Area has been completely transformed. It is now so much cleaner, clearer and easier to access, and it looks absolutely fantastic.

A huge effort from a small but mighty team. Thank you!

This verse speaks directly into the heart of Boys’ Brigade leadership and mentoring.

It reminds us that Christian manliness isn’t defined by strength alone — it’s shaped by character, discipline, and the way we carry ourselves in front of those who look up to us.

Temperate.
Respect‑worthy.
Self‑controlled.

These qualities don’t appear overnight. They grow through practice, accountability, and a desire to honour God in every part of life.

In BB, older boys and leaders set the tone.
When they show self‑control, younger boys learn it.
When they live with respect, boys follow.
When they model reverence, discipline, and integrity, they shape the next generation of Sure & Stedfast young men.
