Queenslanders, it’s important you pay attention to fire conditions in your local area. 🔥

Gusty winds, combined with very hot temperatures and dry conditions has resulted in elevated fire conditions for most of the state.

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a fire weather warning for Extreme Fire Danger in Channel Country today.

In these conditions fires may spread quickly, posing risk to life and property. The safest option is to avoid bushfire risk areas.

Are you prepared for bushfire season? Fires have already been seen in the Darling Downs, Warrego, Maranoa area. Be Prepared. This Friday we have a high fire danger rating.

Bushfire season is upon us and we’ve already seen several grassfires across the state.
With warm and windy conditions expected in south west QLD over the coming days, it’s important to know your risk.

Channel Country, Maranoa and Warrego, Darling Downs and Granite Belt are forecast to reach a HIGH Fire Danger Rating on Friday.

In these conditions, grassfires can start easily. Avoid anything that could spark a fire, such as slashing, grinding or welding outdoors.
