Looking back, I can see that none of it happened overnight. I started with small events, made plenty of mistakes, kept trying, kept learning, and slowly found my way toward the work that truly feels like me. What once felt like a distant dream is now the life I get to build with incredible people and communities around the world. I remind myself every single day that, whatever I’m heading toward, the NOW has been pretty amazing. 🤍

A poem came to me.

About how nature never rushes.

How winter doesn’t apologize for being winter.
How spring doesn’t force itself to arrive early.
How every season has a purpose.

And it made me reflect on how often we resist our own seasons.

The seasons of rest.
The seasons of uncertainty.
The seasons where we are gathering wisdom before the next chapter unfolds.

We live in a world that celebrates constant growth and productivity.

But some of our deepest clarity comes when we slow down enough to listen.

Retreats offer us that space.

A chance to step away from the noise, reconnect with ourselves, and honor the season we are actually in.

Whether that season is one of dreaming, creating, healing, refining, or becoming.

This is something many facilitators don’t realize at the beginning.

Participants don’t only evaluate the content.

They remember:
• how clear things were
• how supported they felt
• how the days flowed

If the experience feels chaotic, it affects everything, even your sessions.

Your work doesn’t exist in isolation.

✨ Why aren’t people saying yes?

Many facilitators immediately assume it’s because:

• Their audience is too small
• Their retreat is too expensive
• Their content isn’t good enough

But often the real reason is something much deeper.

Sometimes people don’t fully understand the value of the experience.

Sometimes they can’t clearly see themselves inside it.

Sometimes they’re just afraid of making the investment because of the two reasons above.

The moment you stop asking “How do I get more people?” and start asking “What’s preventing the right people from saying yes?” everything changes.

Because now you’re solving the real problem instead of guessing.

Most retreat facilitators make the same mistake when pricing their retreats:

They calculate the cost of accommodation, meals, transportation, and activities… and then they try to put a price on the final number.

But that’s not what people are investing in.

People are not paying for three days on a schedule.

They are investing in the years it took YOU to become the person capable of guiding that experience.

They’re investing in your training, your mistakes, your lessons, your intuition, your ability to hold space, your preparation, your leadership, and the transformation you help create.

When we reduce our retreats to a list of logistics, we unintentionally reduce the value of our work.

The retreat is the container.

The transformation is the product.

The schedule is not what changes someone’s life.

The experience does.
