A good reason to drive under the speed limit and ultra carefully especially at dusk and night, around Northern Rivers. It might be deadly for a koala but it would also likely be very traumatic for the driver.

🚗Last year Friends of the Koala Inc. received 71 reports of koalas who were hit by cars and most did not survive.

Koalas are at very high risk of being struck by a car in the Northern Rivers, particularly between dusk and dawn. Please be vigilant and help us save koalas.

Be extra careful when driving and call Friends of the Koala on 02 6622 1233 immediately if you see a Koala near a road or an accident involving a Koala happens. Save the phone number now.
