Chicago gave Katie, Trent and Cyrus 🐈 five years of sailing in Lake Michigan until they were ready for the ol’ Carib 🤙🏼.

“We sailed Lake Michigan out of Chicago for five years, bought our current sailboat in Grenada, and sailed it through the Caribbean, eventually arriving to the US east coast. Planning to enjoy an east coast summer in search of good food, good friends, and peaceful anchorages.”

Charlie and her partner Alexi run and live aboard their expedition vessel. Their missions are centered around supporting marine science, conservation and storytelling in remote and ecologically critical environments.

They partner with NGOs, researchers and media teams to deliver high-impact expeditions which advance ocean knowledge and strengthen marine conservation. Follow them, support them, and donate if you’re able!

These two legends quit their corporate life and sent it straight across the Atlantic to live it up in the Caribbean! They’re currently upsetting the norm in St Vincent & the Grenadines 🏴‍☠️

“We’re Fran and Jack, a British couple who have fallen in love with sailing and quit our corporate jobs for life on the water. After buying our 1986 Rival 41 ‘Calidris Alba’ in May 2025, we left the UK and sailed her across the Atlantic. We are currently cruising the Eastern Caribbean and would love to meet fellow Young Cruisers!”

Meet your boy, Zack, currently chasing down the dream from coastal Ontario on SV Family Ties. He’s got his eye on Caribbean blues and is about to make the dream reality.

“I’m Zak, I currently live on my Catalina 30 in Toronto and I’m in the process of refitting an Islander Freeport 41 to sail south next winter. I always loved backpacking but had a hard time carrying around camera gear while doing it, until I discovered liveaboard sailing during covid lockdown. Now boat life consumes every minute of my life in the best way possible. Can’t wait to get launched and start exploring some warmer waters.”
