This coming Saturday will see MRB hosting a SAREX (Search & Rescue Exercise) in the Bay, along with our neighbouring Marine Rescue Groups Naturaliste & Bunbury. A great way to hone our skills both on the water & in our control room at HQ.
Various search pattern techniques & person recovery exercises will be conducted.

“A Call Out”
Marine Rescue Busselton are looking to recruit one or two new members to become Shore Based Radio Operators who will support our boat crews afloat. This is an opportunity to become involved in our role of helping keep boaters in our Bay safe and, of course, potentially save people’s lives.
Our immediate need is for operators whose commitment would be to be on available (i.e. on standby) for one weekend in four from 6pm Friday evening until 6am Monday morning, but we would also very interested to hear from those who would like to consider taking on the longer, weekday, shifts.
No previous VHF radio experience is necessary as all training will be provided.
Marine Rescue Busselton is an important part of, and supported by, WA’s Department of Fire and Emergency Services, and all its members are volunteers.
If this opportunity interests you and you would like to find out more and perhaps arrange a visit and have a chat please message Kylie or Les at [email protected]
Or go to our website: http://marinerescuebusselton.org.au for full details of our organisation.
