On Thursday Tonic By The Bay was buzzing when almost 90 ladies packed the room to see the annual Sustainable Fashion Show hosted by Busselton View and Vinnies WA and what a show it was!
After a quick meeting, May Bowden, Vinnies WA Manager of Volunteer Services, talked about Ray Oldenburg's concept of “three places” — home, work, and a place to belong — and how volunteering can help create that vital “third place” in our lives.
Then came the runway magic as Paris came to Busselton. Five of our brave VIEW members stepped out onto the makeshift catwalk in beautifully curated pre loved outfits, styled by the wonderful Vinnies Busselton team, with Sandy’s engaging commentary bringing each look to life. Sustainable fashion never looked so good!
After the show two lucky guests were the winners of door prizes, donated by Vinnies, the catwalk transformed into a pop up shop and the shopping frenzy began as our guests excitedly hunted for their next treasure! Busselton VIEW gives their heartfelt thanks to Vinnies for this fabulous, fun-filled collaboration and we can’t wait to run this event again next year. Our thanks also go to all our guests and members who helped make this such a successful “funraiser” for The Smith Family.
If this sounds like fun and you would like more information about what we get up to, please message us or email [email protected].
