To inspire and engage individuals, businesses and the local community to celebrate community, participation and endeavour by staging an annual swim around the Busselton Jetty. Our Values

Participation: In acknowledgement of the value of community involvement and engagement we value, encourage and nurture participation in the event be it as a Swimmer, Volunteer, Sponsor, Spectator or Supporter. Community: Developing an event that inspires, engages and benefits the community with a strong emphasis on volunteering, community service and leadership and with strong business benefits for community groups and local businesses. Affordability: Actively seeking new ways to keep the swim affordable for the wider community whilst ensuring it remains financially viable. Good Governance: As an Incorporated Association, our organisation must comply with the Associations Incorporation Act 2015. The committee subscribes to this model of governance to best ensure that we can continue to honour our values and meet our strategic objectives.

📣 We're hiring – Marketing Officer (Contractor)

Love storytelling, community events, and creating campaigns that make an impact?

Join the team behind Busselton Jetty Swim – one of Australia's most iconic open-water swimming events.

We're looking for a Marketing Officer to lead our marketing, communications, social media, PR, website content, and digital campaigns for the 2027 event.

✨ What you'll love:
🏊 Be part of a prestigious WA event with national recognition
💙 Work alongside a passionate volunteer committee and supportive team
📱 Shape campaigns seen by thousands of swimmers and supporters
⏰ Flexible contractor role (approximately 8–12 hours per week across July–March)
🌊 Meaningful work that helps bring our incredible community event to life

We're looking for someone with experience in marketing, PR, digital communications, content creation, and social media who enjoys working in a collaborative, community-focused environment.

📍 Attendance at the event weekend in February is essential.

This National Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating the heart of the Busselton Jetty Swim — our incredible volunteers 💙

From early morning set-up crews to check-in desks and finish line cheer squads, hundreds of volunteers come together each year to make this event possible. Their time, energy and community spirit are what keep the swim welcoming, safe, and accessible for everyone.

Quite simply, the event wouldn’t happen without them.

To every volunteer who has been part of Busselton Jetty Swim — thank you. Your contribution makes a real difference, not just on event day, but across our whole community.

Each year we ask our Jetty Swimmers if they’d like to make a donation to the 's Environment Foundation (BJEF). And every year their generosity astounds us. This year they donated $17,000+, bringing the total for the past 7 years to over $50,000. 💵🤯
