IRB CREW COURSE
Busselton SLSC is pleased to offer the opportunity to obtain the IRB Crew Award. Sick of getting stuck on a Board for Water Safety Events? Want to become eventually become an IRB Driver? Like to have fun in the Surf? Then this course is for you. Based on feedback received from the last course, the number of sessions has been reduced to only 5 sessions (plus a Dry Session for those brand-new to IRBs). Some additional information:
If you are interested in completing the course, you must fill out the form, unless you already completed this form a month or so ago;
If you are new to IRBs, then all sessions listed below are mandatory. If you have already completed part of a crew course, please contact me to discuss further, as you will likely not have to attend EVERY session (though you are very welcome to); and
Session dates are as follows:
Dry Session: Tues 30 Jun26 (exact time based on candidate availability, not mandatory for those who have already attended a Dry Session)
Flat Water Session: Sat 4th Jul26 (not mandatory for those who have already attended a Flat-Water Session)
Surf Session #1: Sat 11th Ju26
Surf Session #2: Sat 18th Ju26
Surf Session #3: Sat 26th Jul26
Surf Session #4: Sat 1st Aug26 (includes Mock Assessment, will be mandatory for all)
Assessment: Sat 8th Aug26
Session times are as follows
Dry Session will last approx. 90 mins, during in the evening at Busselton SLSC;
Wet Sessions will run from approx. 0600-1400, depending on conditions
