We have just held our annual Winter Olympics and winners are (over 75) Stephen Dunstall, Warren Slade and Jim Wright. Under 75's winner is Leigh Jones, Bruce Goodall and Harry Devries. Thirty five shedders participated so the competition was fierce. Well done Big Chris for organising the event. A great mornings entertainment.

This week is Stroke Week and we had a presentation from South West Stroke Services. Thanks to Amy and Sandy for an informative session. Stroke occurs more often than prostate cancer and breast cancer. Look for the warning signs F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech and Time). Thank you ladies for coming to our shed.

Our talented garden art sculptor Dennis, has installed some large pieces into our garden at the shed. They look magnificent in a bush setting. They are for sale and you can speak directly to him regarding prices but we don't want to see them go. Dennis is at the shed most mornings Tue to Fri.

We were pleased to welcome Krystie Gledhill and Carl McDonald from the Commonwealth Bank Busselton who presented the Men's Shed with a CommBank Community Donation. Thanks to all at CommBank, we will put the funds towards a planned shed extension and safety improvements. Receiving the donation is Shed Chairman Trevor Fisher with Krystie and Carl.

Possum Boxes are now available from stock after our supplier was able to get more ply.

We have just restored an old table for the Busselton Jetty that was made from original jetty timbers. We don't know when it was made but is very old and incredibly heavy. We hope we have put many more years of use into this table for the Busselton Jetty.

A big thank you to everyone who came to our stall at the Rotary Markets today. It was very succesful and we now have room to build more stuff and keep our guys busy.

Busselton Men's Shed will be at the Rotary Markets this Sunday 26 April. We will have Jack n Jill seats from $295 to Jarrah units $750. We have one only outdoor setting four seats with table for $350. Jarrah garden benches for $225. Lots of turned items, bird feeders, plant stands and garden art. We can deliver garden settings locally on the day. Drop in and say Hi, we will be near the entry gate.

Today was the day to clean the filters of the sawdust extraction system, a job which is the least popular. Chairman Trevor got amongst it literally, and even the chairman will do the worst jobs. He came out looking like this and his helpers, Mick and Vic looked the same. Well done guys, hopefully another six months before doing it again.
