Just a little heads-up from the LAMP crew…

Our Really Really Free Pantry is stocked and ready to go! 🥫🥖🍎

If you need a few things, come and take what you need. If you have a little extra, bring it along and leave something for someone else. That’s the magic of mutual aid - no judgement, no hoops to jump through, just our community looking after our community. ❤️

Which means Neighbourhood Nourish is getting ready to roll again with another round of affordable, hearty meals for our community. 🙌

A HUGE thank you to everyone who keeps donating, cooking, sharing, volunteering, cheering us on and generally helping make these little grassroots ideas happen.

It really does take a community and Busselton, you’re pretty bloody awesome at it. 🥰

🍲 NEIGHBOURHOOD NOURISH UPDATE! 🍲

WOW... all of our Neighbourhood Nourish meals are gone! ❤️

The community need has been HUGE, so we’re already planning our next cook-up for Wednesday/Thursday next week.

On the menu:

🥩 Beef Stew
🌱 Nepalese-style Lentil Dahl

Both are delicious, healthy and affordable, because everyone deserves access to a decent meal without having to choose between food and other essentials.

🎬🎶 DID YOU HEAR?! OUR VERY OWN SUZY IS CHANGING THE WORLD ONE LYRIC AT A TIME! 💛

We’re a pretty cool crew here at LAMP, and one of our coolest cats, Suzy, is doing something VERY cool.

LAMP Inc. is incredibly proud to have supported the production of **“Shannon”** a powerful local music video raising awareness about su***de prevention, the importance of connection, and the incredible difference community can make.

Over **100 local community members** were involved in bringing the project to life, with some of the filming even taking place right here at our LAMP offices in Busselton. 🎥

🍲 **NEIGHBOURHOOD NOURISH IS SERVING UP SOME LOVE!** 💛

A beautiful member of our community has kindly purchased the **first 100 Neighbourhood Nourish meals** because sometimes the best way to support your community is simply to make sure nobody goes hungry. ❤️

So, if you’re hungry, doing it tough, or you’d just love a delicious meal, come on down and grab one! There’s absolutely no judgement and no fuss. Just good food and good people. 🫶

❤️ HELLO COMMUNITY… WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS!❤️

At LAMP, we believe a strong community is one that looks out for each other, listens to what people need and responds with practical support.

We know things are tough for a lot of people right now. The cost of living continues to put pressure on households, and sometimes something as simple as putting a healthy meal on the table can become another thing to worry about.

That’s where Neighbourhood Nourish comes in. 🥰

We’ve been busy behind the scenes and have FINALLY cooked up our very first batch of delicious frozen meals, available to our community for just $3.50 each!

Today we made 50 Curried Sausage servings 🍛 and tomorrow we’ll have 50 Chicken Pesto Pasta meals 🍝.

We’re starting small, seeing what our community needs and hopefully building something that can grow with the support of our amazing community.

❤️ THIS is what community looks like! ❤️

At LAMP, we’re all about community. We believe everyone deserves to feel welcome, connected and cared for and we LOVE shining a light on the local heroes who make our community a better place. 🌟

Last Thursday, our Housing & Homelessness Advocate headed down to Retravision to check out something pretty special .... a FREE sizzle, soup and community get-together happening every Thursday night!

👏 Anna from Chicks Turf and the amazing Vasse Lions team are championing something we think is pretty awesome: 🌈❤️community love, connection and belonging.❤️🌈

Every Thursday from 5–7pm, they’re creating a space where everyone is welcome. Come down, grab some soup, enjoy a sausage, have a chat, meet some people and be part of something that is all about looking out for our neighbours. 🥰

A HUGE shout-out to Wade, the Store Manager at Retravision, and his team for getting behind Chicks Turf and Vasse Lions and generously providing a space for this wonderful initiative to happen. 🙌

It’s community-minded businesses, local organisations, volunteers and everyday people coming together that make our communities great. ❤️

🎨🏀🍳 Something exciting is coming to LAMP! 🎣✨

Looking for a place to connect, learn something new and have a bit of fun?

Our Youth Engagement Program is kicking off on Tuesday 18 August, with weekly sessions designed for young people who might be feeling disconnected or just looking for somewhere they belong.

🩷 Tuesdays – Female Arts & Crafts
👨‍🍳 Wednesdays – Mixed Cooking Skills
⚽ Fridays – Male Sports & Physical Activity (think basketball, soccer, fishing and more!)

🕐 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
🚌 Transport available (pick-up and drop-off in the LAMP bus)
🍽️ Food provided at every session
👥 Ages 8–25+

At LAMP, we know that sometimes the best support starts with simply feeling welcome. These sessions are all about building confidence, friendships, new skills and a sense of belonging in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Whether you're keen to get creative, learn to cook, kick a ball around or just meet some great people, we'd love to have you join us.
