Tuesday's group at the Salvation Army Busselton (94 Kent Street) will run as usual from 12:30 - 2 pm.

Please note a change of location for tomorrow's Mental Health Week Expo.. With rain forecast, we've moved to the Origins Market Busselton! Thank you to Ash from Origins for your help at short notice!

So.. the weather for Thursday is not on our side, but is!! Thanks to the amazing team we will be moving our Community Wellness Expo there! Everything will still be there, just with some slight modifications-

10-2 Face painting
10-11 Circus Workshop
10-12:15 Reptiles (finishing earlier to make some room for...)
1-2 Drumming Workshop
The Open Mic will be running from 10-2 and now with a bigger audience ready to hear you so get amongst it- head to the stage to sign up for a time slot!

Unfortunately, we can no longer provide lunch but the local makers at Origins are amazing so we highly recommend getting a feed there!

If you’re doing it tough, running low on groceries, or could just use a little extra help this week, please come down and take what you need. No questions, no judgement, no eligibility hoops to jump through. 💛

💚 OUR COMMUNITY KEEPS SHOWING UP 💚

There are some days when you just have to stop and say… WOW. 🥹

Our Really Really Free Pantry is FULL and it’s because of the incredibly generous people in our community who continue to quietly show up for one another. 🫶

A huge thank you to all the beautiful souls who have been dropping donations into the collection point at Coles Vasse. Every bag, every tin, every packet and every little contribution makes a difference.

And a massive thank you to Coles Vasse for continuing to support our pantry initiative and making it so easy for our community to give. 💚

We also want to give a very special shout-out to our wonderful “Avocado Lady” 🥑💚 - a woman with an incredibly generous spirit and a truly giving heart. Your kindness has been absolutely beautiful to witness.

We received some AMAZING donations last week, and we want you to know that they are not sitting on a shelf somewhere - they are already being directed to some of the most vulnerable people we support through our programs.

This is what community looks like.

People noticing a need.
People giving what they can.
People looking out for people they may never even meet.

No judgement. No hoops. Just kindness. 💚

🌟 KAYA BUSSELTON COMMUNITY!🌟

Just a quick update on our Form Whisperer initiative at Busselton Library. 📚💻📝

From this week, we’re changing our advertised hours to:

⏰ THURSDAYS | 9:30AM – 11:00AM

Every week, our amazing dedicated volunteers show up to help people in our community tackle the never-ending world of physical and digital paperwork. Forms, applications, emails, online portals, confusing government websites… you name it - we’re here to help make it a little less overwhelming. ❤️

And just to be clear… you won’t be kicked out at 11am! 😂

If you’re still in the middle of solving the world’s paperwork problems, our volunteers can use their discretion about staying a little longer when needed.

We’re simply letting our community know that 9:30am–11:00am is the regular advertised time when you can find us at the library.

So if there’s a form you’ve been avoiding, an online application making your head spin, or a piece of paperwork that has been sitting on your bench for far too long…

🍲 NEIGHBOURHOOD NOURISH UPDATE! 🍲

WOW... all of our Neighbourhood Nourish meals are gone! ❤️

The community need has been HUGE, so we’re already planning our next cook-up for Wednesday/Thursday next week.

On the menu:

🥩 Beef Stew
🌱 Nepalese-style Lentil Dahl

Both are delicious, healthy and affordable, because everyone deserves access to a decent meal without having to choose between food and other essentials.

And if you’ve missed out on a Neighbourhood Nourish meal and you’re hungry tonight, come out tonight:
