It's time to switch off 💧

Winter or Makuru (June-July) brings cooler days and low evaporation. Plants need less water during this time and most lawns go dormant too. Let mother nature take care of your garden and save on your water bills by switching off your sprinklers from 1 June-31 August.

Together, we can save billions of litres of water for when we'll need it the most.

Knowing where to legally ride your eRideable can be confusing, but from 14 May 2026, laws for where people can ride have been simplified. People can now ride an eRideable on any street with a 50km/h speed limit, including roads with centre lines or medians. WestCycle have compiled a helpful resource to make the laws a little easier to understand.

Thank you Emily for joining us and providing such valuable input on issues of concern to our residents.

Great to spend time at the Burns Beach Residents Association meeting last night.

Thank you to everyone who came along to listen, share your ideas, and raise the issues that matter most to you. These conversations are incredibly important and help shape the work I do every day representing our community.

Burns Beach is a growing area, and I remain committed to advocating for the services, infrastructure, and support our community needs now and into the future.

A big thank you to Chairperson Lars and the entire Committee for your work supporting local residents and keeping the community connected.

Keen to find out what happens at the recycling facility? Here is your opportunity to join a tour of the facility.

Curious about what happens to your recyclables and how we can upcycle textiles?

Join us on a community tour to Cleanaway's Material Recovery Facility in Guildford to see first-hand their state-of-the-art sorting facility and understand more about why what we place in our recycling bins matters.

The second stop on the tour is Loop Upcycling - a local textile upcycling facility turning waste clothing and other textiles into new products.
