Today to celebrate Christmas Day, we seen over 70 people through the doors for our free community lunch! A yummy roast, loaded desserts and even a mini dutch pancake bar. We had a walk in wardobe for the guests and everyone left with a present or two.

Firstly, thank you to each and everyone who made this happen. From the staff at Burnie Safe Space that worked tirelessly behind the scenes, the Salvos Core to the amazing volunteers including the wonderful Jenny who painted some faces! You all made this happen and we couldn’t have had such a successful day without your support.

The most important part of the day - this wasnt about the food, this was about community and connection. From the beautiful community spirit with donations too the lovely lady that stopped by with homemade gifts for each person. You all make the world a better place and these events run so effortlessly because of you.
