(The video in the background - a few of our members went on an unofficial trip to the Piman heads on the 25th April, and here we are tackling that big hill on the inland track, heading down it towards Grandville.
Ya could say, it was like a rapid disco that one. πŸ˜…πŸ€πŸ€£)

Sunday 17th May:

Look at them Sunday drivers cruising up that clay hill, πŸ˜‰πŸ€
Yeah, it would be better if it did have a lil bit of a drop of rain on that part of the track to make it a lil more challenging πŸ€ͺ but anyway we all made it 😎

Sunday 17th May,

We've just made it to the gravel after driving along the power lines track, checking out the mine and completing the first half of the first part of the trip.

Am walking along, marvelling at the huge convoy line, lining up as we wait for everyone to catch up. πŸ˜ƒ
You gotta watch them jeeps tho πŸ˜‰πŸ€

Sunday 17th May: Big wave πŸ‘‹ there from the disco as he powers up the hill. That 3pt turn was no match for the silver slug (the ole GQ) who nailed it in one 🀭😁😎

What a cool view along the powerlines! πŸ˜ƒ

Having to cross private land 🌳, we got to explore an old mine ⛏️ situated in and around the power lines track. We had to have a good torch πŸ”¦, watch our heads ⚠️ in places and watch where we stepped, some parts had kinda caved in.

Sunday 17th May 26 🏞

Northern Exploers hosted an adventure to explore some of the Asbestos Ranges. They invited our club and some members from The Girls with the 4x4’s tagged along as well. πŸ˜ƒ

We all met up together at Winkleigh Hall, which just so happened to be that the hall was hosting its big morning tea that same morning.. β˜•οΈ so we were directed to park on the other side of the road, which was just as well because wow, what a huge turn out of 4x4s!

The weather held out for most of the day, with a lil drizzle 🌧 and fog rolling on later in the afternoon.
We got to explore an old mine, located in around the track along the power lines.
There were washouts and rocky sections to navigate with a few rocks πŸͺ¨ tryna play tag with our diffs, so ya'd have to re position and start again πŸ˜….
Couple of tight sections, yikes! Watch out for pin stripes 🫣😬. Even a 3pt turn thrown in the mix.

There were 2 parts to venture on, we'd just completed the first half, but time was getting on and half of the fleet had to get home, but half of us decided to continue on,
There were a few hectic angles to drive along, hold ya breath and hope for the best.. Note to self.. just don't shut your eyes. πŸ˜…πŸ€£
Unfortunately the view that could have been was blocked by the rain clouds rolling in. But we made it to the end!

and a few of us went down to Badger Head beach and aired up.

Thanks to the guys from Northern Exploers for the opportunity to tag slong on your trip, and thanks to everyone for making us feel welcome and making it memorable.
Will look forward to the next combined trip! 🀠

Didn't get a lot of photos πŸ“Έ, but here's a few from our trip πŸ‘
