🎙 CQ CQ VK4 SBD calling! 🗣

Jamboree on the Air - Jamboree on the Internet, better known as JOTA-JOTI, is the world’s largest digital and radio Scout & Girl Guide event.

Scouts and Guides come together online and over the airwaves to promote better connections and global citizenship. Each year, millions of young people take part in exciting activities that foster intercultural communication and friendship using amateur radio and the internet. BRAVO to the Bundaberg Amateur Radio Club for once again connecting us into JOTA.

Our group enjoyed their weekend despite the rain and wind with Cubs and Joeys having a day adventure at Wyper Park Campsite & our Scouts, Venturer and Rovers camping out over the weekend.

Here's just a quick glimpse at what they got up to!

😎 We're on winter holidays! 🙌

Last week we ended the term with a bit of a party and came together as group.

A fun night with a shared meal across all age groups that ended by investing a new leader and unofficially investing another.

Our fun doesn't stop though - Kepnock Scouts Markets are on this Saturday from 10-3. Drop by, pick up something special or just enjoy the atmosphere.

🎡 Thank You for a big week! 👏

Our volunteer committee would like to thank every single youth member, adult member, parent, grandparents, Aunty, uncle, cousin, friend etc & also Y school Bundaberg for your assistance with our show fundraiser.

Volunteering has declined across many areas as people's lives have become busier, but to have so many of you ensure our rosters had enough people to ensure everyone entered and exited the show in an orderly manner was very much appreciated.

Our Cub Scouts and Joey Scouts also had some iced biscuits in the show competition and our Cubs scored a 3rd prize for theirs.

Shout out also to May Mitchell - Councillor for Division 9 - BRC, Rum City Locks and Security Oztix & of course Bundaberg Show Office for your part in our fundraising.

🌭 Mother's Day Sizzle 😋

Our volunteers were out cooking up a storm at the Bargara Mother's Day classic.

A great Ocean view and some hungry runners to feed was an opportunity to do some fundraising.

We are especially grateful to the 3 mums that spent Mother's Day helping fundraise for.our group 🥰
