Surf Life Savingβs ground-breaking and award-winning Seahorse Nippers program provides an opportunity for children with disabilities to have fun in the surf and learn vital water safety skills, all while under the supervision of qualified surf lifesavers. Throughout the program, the youngsters will participate in a range of activities and games, encompassing water skills and lifesaving techniques,
all designed to slowly build their confidence in the water and teach them how to stay safe at the beach. Seahorse Nippers is a wonderful opportunity to make sure that all children, including those who might have conditions like down syndrome, cerebral palsy or autism, have the opportunity to participate in nippers. The program is all about getting out and having fun, enjoying our beautiful coast, and learning some water safety skills along the way, all under the guide and supervision of trained lifesavers.
