Drive for Life believes all young people should have the opportunity to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
The Salvation Army's Drive for Life program provides a welcoming and accessible environment which is safe and supportive. The instructors and mentors are sensitive to the needs of young people in the community who have difficulty meeting the licencing requirements, due to the young people presenting at our services not having the financial capacity to pay for driving lessons and licencing.

The Drive for Life program primarily supports young people aged between 16-25 years and is designed to meet the needs of young people who may find it difficult to achieve their drivers licence.

Every year, there are nearly 40,000 children and young people aged 15-24 who have no parental support and nowhere to live. The Salvation Army support the Home Time campaign because we want to see an investment in the future of Australia's young people. We believe this should be a priority at all levels of government. The Home Time campaign has released an Election Platform with the key policy reforms and investments needed by government to unlock housing for our children and young people. Check out the platform and send a message to our decision-makers ahead of the 2025 election that it is time to invest in the future of Australia's young people."

Send a message to your federal election candidates that unlocking housing for children and young people with nowhere to live should be a national priority. It only takes a few minutes to be part of the movement for change.

In healthy relationships, people might use apps’ to check if their loved one is safe in emergencies or share their phone passcode to share devices.

In harmful relationships, shared information can be used in ways that violates your privacy and trust.

So how can you tell the difference between sharing information in a healthy and trusting relationship and information being used to control or harass you?

Some red flags of technology-based abuse can include:

📱 Insisting on access to your devices and accounts, especially if you don’t have the same access to theirs.

📱 Getting angry or acting irrationally when you don’t immediately respond to calls or messages.

📱 Wanting to always track or know your location.

📱 Pushing you to take intimate photos when you don’t want to or sharing intimate photos of you without your consent.

You deserve and have a right to privacy. Learn more and find out how to see the patterns of coercive control here: www.qld.gov.au/coercivecontrol.
