I’VE FINALLY BEEN ALLOWED TO SAY IT… 💙

I’m incredibly humbled to officially share that I’ve been named a finalist for Australia’s Kindest Person 2026.

Being recognised alongside so many incredible Australians is something I never expected. But what makes this even more meaningful is the opportunity to shine a light on Brave Brothers and the work we do supporting men, families and communities.

If I’m fortunate enough to be named Australia’s Kindest Person, $25,000 will be donated to Brave Brothers to help us continue that work.

At Brave Brothers, we believe:

“Healing happens in connection — a kind word, a listening ear, a shared moment.”

Kindness doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, simply showing up for someone can change everything.

I’m incredibly grateful to the person who nominated me and everyone who has been part of this journey. 💙

☕ COFFEE, CONVERSATION & A LITTLE GIRL POWER! 💙

What a fantastic day at Rotary’s Oceanfest!

Our Brave Brothers Coffee & Conversation team connected with 43 men throughout the event—sharing a coffee, having a chat and reminding people that sometimes a simple conversation can make a real difference.

We also raised a few valuable dollars to support our men’s health and su***de-prevention programs.

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteers Caroline, Chrissy and Carol, (Brave Mermaids) who kept the coffee flowing and the conversations going. It was certainly a day for girl power at the Brave Brothers trailer! 💪☕💙

Thank you to Rotary, Oceanfest Bundaberg everyone who stopped by and everyone who donated. We listen to and work with men before it’s too late.

🎉📸 STOP THE SCROLL—IT’S LEWIS’S BIRTHDAY! 🎥🍻

Today we’re celebrating the youngest member of the Brave Brothers Board and the talented bloke behind the camera who makes the rest of us look good!

Lewis is our go-to media man, photographer and videographer. From capturing the perfect shot to creating standout content, he’s always there to document the moments that matter.

And when the camera’s down? He’s probably lifting weights at the gym or raising a cold beer after a job well done. 💪🍺

Lewis, thank you for bringing creativity, energy and a fresh perspective to the Brave Brothers team. We hope your day is packed with big laughs, a great workout and a well-earned beer or two.

Brave Brothers went out to the Red Collar Rescue Inc. shelter today to help make it a bit cooler and shady!

We had a great turnout of blokes ready to lend a hand. We got out there and got the job done, had a few laughs and puppy cuddles along the way, and enjoyed a BBQ put on by the team at Red Collar!

Thanks to Mitch and everyone who came along and contributed, it takes one task off the list for red collar so they can focus on saving dogs, and gave us blokes a chance to catch up, have a laugh and work together to get it done!

Hi Guys , Brave Brothers assist this project - can anyone help with assembling the frames for the art Prize event on Friday - (Today) 21st 2pm -4pm at the pavilion in the Bundaberg Recreation centre(Showgrounds) A few volunteers have dropped out at the last moment.

This Daffodil Day, we’re standing with Brave Brothers experiencing cancer 🌼

Cancer doesn’t just take a physical toll,for many men, a diagnosis brings silence, isolation, and a mental health battle that often goes unspoken. That’s why Brave Brothers exists: to remind men that facing cancer doesn’t mean facing it alone, and that asking for help is an act of strength, not weakness.

This Daffodil Day, as we join Cancer Council in raising awareness for cancer research and support services, we’re also shining a light on something just as vital, men’s mental health and su***de prevention.

The daffodil is a symbol of hope. This year, let’s make it a symbol of connection too. If you’re a man facing cancer, or you know one who is, reach out. Talk. Check in on your mates. A conversation can be the first step toward healing — for the body and the mind.

💛 Grab a daffodil. Start a conversation. Support Brave Brothers and Cancer Council this Daffodil Day.

🧡 BUNDABERG—THANK YOU! 🧡

More than 50 people joined us at Riverfeast Bundaberg to view the potential future home of Bundaberg’s first Brave Place Support Hub and we are incredibly grateful.

Community members came along to share ideas, offer practical help and show their support. Several local businesses have also made some truly exceptional and generous offers. To everyone who attended, contacted us, shared our post or offered support from afar - thank you. Your encouragement means more than you know.

Because of the generosity shown, we now need to take the time to plan carefully and ensure the project is developed properly.

Our next steps are to:

🧡 Create a spreadsheet of the people and businesses willing to help
🧡 Speak with the landlords before formally accepting offers
🧡 Develop a clear scope of works
🧡 Establish a safe and realistic timeframe for the transformation

Everyone who has offered support will be contacted through a private project newsletter, where we will share updates, working days and opportunities to become involved.

HELP US BUILD BUNDABERG’S FIRST BRAVE PLACE SUPPORT HUB 🧡

Brave Brothers is taking on a small, currently derelict area at RiverFeast and transforming it into something powerful,a welcoming Brave Place Support Hub where people can connect, feel supported and find someone willing to listen before it’s too late.

To bring this space to life, we need our community’s help!

We’re looking for donations of:

🧡 Paint and painting supplies
🔨 Building and decorating materials
🌿 Garden tools, plants and equipment
🪑 Outdoor furniture
🌱 A small amount of turf
🙌 Volunteers willing to lend a hand
💰 Financial donations to help cover other materials
