π What if an entire sporting team disappeared every three days?
That's the reality of su***de in Australia.
Every day, 7 men lose their lives to su***de. That's 7 teammates, mates, fathers, brothers and sons gone too soon.
This weekend, the AFL community came together for something bigger than football as we proudly hosted another successful Brave Brothers Menβs Health Round. ππ
A huge thank you to Bundaberg Brothers Bulldogs AFC, Braden Krebs, Bay Power AFC, Maryborough Bears AFL, World Gym Bundaberg and our incredible community for welcoming us back for a second year and supporting our mission. Your belief in what we do helps us continue listening to and working with men before it's too late.
π We also want to acknowledge our amazing volunteers. Brave Brothers is 100% volunteer-driven, and every event, conversation and connection happens because of people who generously give their time to support others.
π This weekend also marked the launch of our No.7 Su***de Awareness Campaign.
We're calling on every sporting club across our region to donate their No.7 jersey at the end of each season, representing the 7 men lost to su***de every day in Australia. That's 7 sons, brothers, fathers, mates and teammates whose stories ended too soon.
If you're involved with a sporting club, we'd love to work with you on the No.7 Campaign and future awareness initiatives. Together, we can break the stigma, continue the conversation and help save lives before it's too late.
