Congratulations to Year 11 Student, Mark, on an outstanding achievement at the recent All Schools Athletics Championships, placing 3rd in the 400m hurdles!

Competing against the best school-aged athletes, this result is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and commitment Mark has shown.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement and look forward to seeing what comes next. Well done, Mark, on this fantastic result! πŸ‘

During the School holidays we can all help to keep our school safe. 🏫 Look, Listen, Report.

If you hear or see anything suspicious call School Watch on 13 17 88. If you see a crime in progress, call Triple Zero (000).

The School Watch program is a partnership between the Department of Education and Protective Services Group, Queensland Police Service, providing a way for members of the community to report anything they see that is suspicious, even if it seems minor.

🎢 Instrumental Music Workshop Builds Skills and Connections 🎢

Earlier this month, Instrumental Music students from Bundaberg North SHS, Gooburrum State School, Moore Park Beach State School and Oakwood State School came together at Bundaberg North for an Intermediate Band Workshop.

Our high school band students took on the role of mentors, supporting younger musicians who have been learning their instruments for the past 2 to 3 years. They assisted with sectional rehearsals, shared their skills during full ensemble rehearsals and provided valuable guidance to their younger peers.

The workshop was also a great opportunity for primary students to ask questions about life in high school band and learn more about continuing their musical journey beyond primary school.

It was wonderful to see students learning from one another, building confidence and strengthening connections across our school communities. We look forward to continuing this format in the future as a valuable transition experience for Instrumental Music students. 🎡
