Angels Community Group, a not-for-profit community-based organisation, was formed in April 2015 when founding members Kerri Savidge and Sue Tasker realised the power that comes from giving people a purpose. This has be

en accomplished by creating a supportive environment where people experiencing a sense of loss (the loss of a loved one, a job, a relationship or even the loss of identity or life direction) are able to achieve or regain the confidence and skills necessary to lead meaningful social and economic lives through personal growth, a sense of worth, friendship and social networks, career development, productive employment and long-term financial stability. A passionate organisation dedicated to giving back to the community, we are committed to extending our range of social enterprises and charitable projects into the future. This spirit of giving is championed by our Board, staff and volunteers and in addition to transforming lives (our own included), we wholeheartedly believe in new beginnings, broadened horizons, seizing opportunities and smashing stigmas.

✂️ Hair Aid is back at Angels Mini Mart today! ✂️

Need a haircut but finding it hard to get to a salon? Hair Aid’s wonderful volunteer hairdressers will be at Angels Mini Mart, 66 Targo Street, today from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.

💙 No appointment needed – just drop in with your ID!

A fresh haircut can do wonders for your confidence and wellbeing, and Hair Aid is here to help those in our community who may be doing it a bit tough or aren’t able to access a salon for whatever reason.

Hair Aid Inc visits us every six weeks, so if you or someone you know could benefit, we’d love to see you today.

🎄 Looking for a great night out while supporting a wonderful cause?

The Mayor’s Christmas Charity Ball is on 11 July, with proceeds helping local charities support families in need this Christmas. Join in and enjoy great food, entertainment, music and auctions.

💇‍♀️ FREE HAIRCUTS TOMORROW AT ANGELS MINI MART! 💇‍♂️

We’re excited to welcome the wonderful team from Hair Aid tomorrow morning! They will be generously donating their time to provide free haircuts for community members who could use a little extra support.

There’s no need to make an appointment – simply drop in between 9:00am and 11:00am and the Hair Aid volunteers will help you look and feel your best.

💪 Applicants must be physically fit and able to lift/carry stock safely.

✅ Suitable for:
• People aged 15+
• Those who may never had a job before
• People wanting a fresh start
• Anyone who has struggled to find work or been out of the workforce for a long time

💵 Paid under Traineeship Award Rates
⏰ Full-time – 38 hours per week

🌟 A Helpful Morning at Angels Mini Mart 🌟
Tomorrow morning, Tuesday 21st April, is shaping up to be a really supportive and community-focused time out the front of Angels Mini Mart (66 Targo Street, Bundy)

🧺 Orange Sky (8am – 11am)
Our wonderful friends from Orange Sky will be there as they are every week, offering free laundry services for anyone who doesn’t have access to their own facilities.
They’re also always up for a friendly chat, sometimes that’s just as important.

👕 Thread Together (9am – 11am)
We’re excited to welcome for the first time!
They’ll be set up right next to Orange Sky in the car park, providing brand new, quality clothing to those in our community who are doing it tough. Their mission is to reduce fashion waste while supporting people who need it most.
If you’re doing it tough in Bundy, please come down, they may be able to help you with some clothing items.
