We're proud to see Partners in Care Together Board Member, David Facer, named a finalist for Australia's Kindest Person 2026.

This well-deserved recognition reflects the kindness, compassion and dedication he brings to supporting others through his work with Brave Brothers and the wider community.

I’VE FINALLY BEEN ALLOWED TO SAY IT… 💙

I’m incredibly humbled to officially share that I’ve been named a finalist for Australia’s Kindest Person 2026.

Being recognised alongside so many incredible Australians is something I never expected. But what makes this even more meaningful is the opportunity to shine a light on Brave Brothers and the work we do supporting men, families and communities.

If I’m fortunate enough to be named Australia’s Kindest Person, $25,000 will be donated to Brave Brothers to help us continue that work.

At Brave Brothers, we believe:

“Healing happens in connection — a kind word, a listening ear, a shared moment.”

Kindness doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, simply showing up for someone can change everything.

I’m incredibly grateful to the person who nominated me and everyone who has been part of this journey. 💙

🌿💚 From Vision to Reality 💚🌿

This beautiful therapeutic garden began as a Wishlist Wish from Julie, whose passion for creating healing outdoor spaces inspired the creation of this special place at Bundaberg Hospital. Designed to support patient recovery, staff wellbeing and community connection, this once underutilised area has been transformed into a welcoming space for reflection, relaxation and restoration.

A heartfelt thank you to Julie, and to the volunteers, staff and supporters who contributed their time, energy and expertise to bring this project to life.

Together, you've created more than a garden. You've created a lasting legacy for patients, visitors and staff. 🌱✨

🎉What a night! 🎉

Earlier this month, we hosted our inaugural Partners in Care Together Trivia Night – and we couldn’t have asked for a better night! A night full of laughs, friendly competition and some questionable cheating😉, and a good time had by all.

Together, we raised $1,000 – a fantastic result for our very first Trivia Night! 🥳

A huge thank you to everyone that came along and make the night so much fun. A big shout out to Kalki Moon Distilling & Brewing Company the perfect venue, The Bundy Burger Company for the brain food, Tom Smith - Member for Bundaberg and Carmen McEneany Division 6 Councillor Bundaberg Regional Council for donating prizes and Mitches Pictures for capturing some moments from the night.

We are already looking forward to the next one! 💚

💜Fundraising in action

Our Pies in July fundraiser brought the community together - and it's delivered real results! 👏

Through our wishlist round, Bundaberg Hospital's Acute Medical Ward wished for specialized wound care equipment and thanks to your support and that of Bro's Bakery, that wish has come true! 💙

The ward is now equipped with a compact digital camera, flash diffuser, and professional photo printer - tools to help clinicians capture clearer wound photographs for better assessment and patient care.

A huge thank you to everyone who bought a pie, Jay and April from Bro’s Bakery, and Garricks Camera House Bundaberg for helping turn this Wishlist wish into reality. 🌟

💙 Meet Tahnika!

Tahnika is one of our newest volunteers with the Eat Walk Engage program at Bundaberg Hospital.

Though companionship and conversation our Eat Walk Engage volunteers help support patients who may be at risk of cognitive and functional decline during their stay, making the hospital experience a little easier for patients and their families.

We’re so pleased to welcome Tahnika to our volunteer team. 👏💙
