✨ What a night celebrating local business excellence! ✨

Last Saturday, James, Ree, Lee and Aly had the pleasure of attending the Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and Industry

It was a fantastic evening celebrating the achievements, hard work and success of so many incredible businesses across our region.

🚧 Hands-on learning in action! 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

Recently, students from Bunbury Senior High School joined us at our Training Centre in Halifax for three action-packed days of hands-on Civil trade experience!

The students had the chance to step outside the classroom and get a real taste of the civil construction industry - learning about the trade, getting up close with construction machinery and even having the opportunity to operate equipment in a practical setting.

It was a fantastic few days filled with learning, new experiences and plenty of hands-on fun! 🙌

A great opportunity for students to explore where a career in Civil could take them. 🚜

Ree, James and Polly had a great afternoon at the Cape Naturaliste College Career Expo on Friday! 🙌

We loved getting the chance to chat with students about apprenticeships, career pathways and what working in the trades can look like.

We also had a bit of fun putting their knowledge to the test, with a prize up for grabs for anyone who could correctly guess the tools on display! 🎁🛠️

Thanks for having us, Cape Naturaliste College, such a great afternoon meeting the next generation of talent! 💙

🌟 Host & Apprentice Appreciation 🌟

This week, we’re recognising Dave and the team at Cowaramup Plumbing Air & Gas, along with their second-year plumbing apprentice, Tyrell.

Tyrell has made an incredible start to his apprenticeship, consistently going above and beyond, showing a strong willingness to learn and embracing every opportunity to develop new skills.

A big thank you to Dave for his ongoing support, guidance and commitment to helping Tyrell grow within the trade. Strong host employers make a huge difference in the apprenticeship journey, and we truly appreciate everything Dave and the team continue to do.

🎉 Congratulations, James! 🎉

We’re excited to announce that James has recently stepped into his new role as Regional South GTO Manager at GetCareers!

James has been part of the GetCareers team as a Field Officer for over a year, building strong relationships with our apprentices, trainees and host employers across the region.

Prior to joining GetCareers, James came from a strong background in corporate insurance, where he worked as an Operations Manager, bringing plenty of leadership and operational experience into his new role.

We’re excited to see James take this next step and continue supporting our team, apprentices and host employers across the South. 👏

And of course, a few fun facts about James:

🏃 He’s caught the running bug - James only started running in January and has fully committed to the new hobby.

🍽️ He’s a self-confessed foodie - he loves trying new foods and checking out new restaurants… even with the challenge of being gluten-free!

✈️ He loves getting out and exploring - whether it’s a weekend getaway or somewhere completely new, James is always keen for his next adventure.

Congratulations on the well-deserved promotion, James! We can’t wait to see what you bring to the role. 💙

We’re excited to celebrate Aiden as he officially begins his Electrical Apprenticeship with host employer, Statewide Power.

A big thank you to the team at Statewide Power for supporting the next generation of skilled tradespeople and providing Aiden with the opportunity to learn from experienced industry professionals.

A big thank you to Work Clobber Bunbury and Body Armour for making sure Aiden is fully equipped and ready to begin his electrical apprenticeship.
