🎤✨ Congratulations Shanice Reich! ✨🎤
Soroptimist International Bunbury is delighted to announce Shanice Reich as the winner of our Bunbury heat of The Floor is Yours public speaking competition.
Shanice impressed the judges with her speech, "Plot Twist – It Looks the Same", and will now represent the South West at the State Grand Final on 20 June 2026 at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle.
A huge congratulations to all participants who stepped outside their comfort zones to share their voices, perspectives, and ideas. Public speaking takes courage, and every woman who took part should be incredibly proud of her achievement. The standard of presentations was exceptional, and it was inspiring to see such talented women willing to stand up and be heard.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to our judging panel:
💙 Shamara Williams (Volunteer South West)
💙 Shaz Attree (Edith Cowan University)
💙 Dani Hewton (Soroptimist International / Next Gen Wellness)
Thank you for generously sharing your time, expertise, and encouragement with our participants.
A special thank you to the ECU Student Guild for their support in providing the venue for the event.
We would also like to acknowledge and sincerely thank our fellow Soroptimists who travelled to Bunbury to support the event. A special thank you to Anne, Vida, Annie, and Gordon for making the journey and helping create such a warm and encouraging atmosphere for our participants.
Your support reflects the true spirit of Soroptimist, women supporting women, sharing opportunities, and empowering each other to grow and succeed. We are incredibly grateful for your encouragement and friendship.
At Soroptimist, we believe in empowering women and girls through education, leadership, and opportunity. Events like The Floor is Yours provide a platform for women to build confidence, develop communication skills, and use their voices to inspire positive change within their communities.
Please join us in congratulating Shanice and wishing her every success as she represents the South West at the State Grand Final!
