🧱 Community Power in Action!

Our incredible team of volunteers has been hard at work transporting donated bricks as we prepare for our upcoming renovation.

As a not-for-profit, every single dollar we save on our building fit-out directly helps us fulfill our mission: providing compassionate, meaningful, and genuinely affordable at-cost funerals to families in our community.

To help us get our doors open, we are always looking for building materials, tradespeople willing to donate their skills, and even a vehicle to help us with transport.

Working together makes all things possible! 🤝✨We are feeling so incredibly grateful and inspired after spending the last two days learning all about family-directed home funerals from the wonderful Bec Lyons! A huge thank you, Bec, for beautifully sharing your knowledge and skills with death care leaders from across our South West community. 🕊️💛

Working together makes all things possible! Over the past two days community based death care leaders from across the South West came together to learn more about Home Funerals (family directed death care) from Bec Lyons from the Australian Home Funeral Alliance. This was a partnership between the South West Compassionate Communities Network, Busselton Hospice Care Incorporated, South West Community Hospice and Tender Funerals Geographe Region and with funding support from the Good Death Impact Network and Dying to Know. Thank you Bec for sharing your knowledge, skills and experiences. It was inspiring!

Some of the best afternoons at the library are the ones spent together thinking and talking with people in our community. Join us for a free screening of the film Tender, a deeply moving and gently humorous look at a remarkable group of people confronting one of life’s greatest inevitabilities: its end. It's a film about friendship, courage and the strength people find in one another.

After the screening, you're warmly invited to stay for a relaxed conversation with Charlotte from Tender Funerals Geographe Region. Come with questions, to listen, or simply to be part of the room. All are welcome.
