Meet Charlotte, our Community Activator and one of the director of Tender Funerals Geographe.

At Tender Funerals Geographe, we believe every family deserves a funeral that is affordable, personal and full of care. Saying goodbye to someone we love should never come with financial stress or a sense of being rushed.

We are a not-for-profit community funeral service, and we cannot do this alone. Tender Funerals is built by the community, for the community. It takes volunteers, local businesses, donors and neighbours all playing a part. When we do it together, we make sure no family in our region faces a loss without support.

This week: the internal walls are up! 🛠️💛

Big progress at 25 Spencer Street. Our volunteers and board members have been on the tools framing the internal walls, and for the first time we can walk through the building and see the rooms taking shape. It is a real thrill to stand in the spaces where families will gather, rest and say goodbye.

Seeing our crew measuring, cutting and nailing together has been amazing. What a multiskilled bunch! This is a true community project, people looking after each other to deliver a warm, beautiful building for our region.

💚 We love seeing Tender communities growing around Australia.

Every Tender service looks a little different because it is shaped by the community it serves, but we all share the same vision: making funeral care more accessible, compassionate and affordable for local families.

It is inspiring to see communities from Tasmania, Gippsland, Queensland to Geographe creating a different way of doing things. A way that puts people, connection and choice at the centre of end-of-life care.

Thank you to all Tender Funerals communities. Together, we are showing that funeral care can be both professional and deeply human.

What is a not-for-profit funeral service?

It means no one profits from your loss.

Tender Funerals Geographe charges a fair and transparent price that covers the real costs of providing funeral care, including our staff, vehicles, facilities and day-to-day operating expenses.

Because we are not driven by profit, our services are often more affordable and focused on people rather than shareholders.

Any surplus will be reinvested into supporting local families and strengthening our community service.

It also means you are in charge. We give you clear information and the time you need, and you decide what is right for the person you love.

We are a registered charity, built by South West locals for South West locals.
