If you have 10 minutes to spare, please complete this new online survey on bushwalking (and trail running) in Western Australia.

Bushwalking WA is assisting as a key stakeholder in developing a Bushwalking (and Trail Running) Strategy for Western Australia. The strategy development is under the guidance of DLGSCI-Sport & Recreation and DBCA-Parks & Wildlife Service.

We urge all bushwalkers / hikers, including members of clubs and others, to respond to the survey to ensure broad community input to inform the strategy, which aims to support bushwalking (and trail running) planning, programs, governance and facilities statewide. A well-considered strategy should greatly enhance the future of bushwalking in WA: The dawning of a State of Excitement for hikers / bushwalkers at last?

All who complete the survey are also in with a chance to win a Parks and Wildlife Service Annual Parks Pass.

BUNBURY ADVENTURE PURSUIT CLUB - Planned Event
Bibbulmun Hike - 21st / 22nd April 2018 = Northcliffe - Chesapeake Rd
Day 1 - Saturday 21st April
We will meet in the main street of Northcliffe which is about a 3 hour drive from Bunbury, so an early start required to get there by 10am. Don't be late! as it will take over an hour to do the car swap. It is only about a 15km day to get to Garner Campsite though, so we should have plenty of time before dark to set up.
Day 2 - Sunday 22nd April
This is a big day = 25km. There is no way to make it shorter as there is no other access onto the track, so if you don't feel you can complete 25km in a timely manner - wait for the next event! We will make an early start from the campsite (8am) and will pass through Lake Maringup Campsite before getting out to the end at Chesapeake Rd. Both days are very flat terrain, but it is still a 3 hour drive home again, so make sure to bring extra food or money in case you need dinner as well.
Contact - Lynette Bartley = 0427 708 894
send text or phone to confirm your place.
Cost: Membership due for 2018 – join $25 then events are free Membership form attached
or Non- members $10 per event to cover insurance.
